and I bet there is a big peak in that rain chart; if it was steady
that might be more manageable vs 16 inches in one day.

Yep, we're very high here. Power has been reliable and we've never had an outage longer than 1-2 minutes. No power poles, all underground on ranch.

I'm sure we'll lose Dish Network satellite TV most of weekend.

65F and cloudy @ 11:45 ... high today predicted to be 71F, overnight low was 52F ... feels like fall is here.

Got the SSQA taken off the tractor yesterday morning and the timing bar cut out of it. Then went over to a friend's and straightened up the brackets on as best I could with his torch. Not perfect, but should be good enough.

Last evening, after I got home from the chiro's, I drilled a hole at the end of the cracks then ground the cracks out and welded them up, and then ground off the excess weld and cleaned them up.

Today I have to weld in a new timing bar and put it all back together.

Thoughts and prayers for those that will be affected by Harvey.

Good morning all. Very little wind this morning, it is looking like a good day to throw a bit a paint onto some of the recent little welding projects, like the bonnet guard for the Iseki.

On the other hand, I really ought to get on with levelling the ground for where my wife's greenhouse is going. We have now been married for some 14, 598 days (plus a few more for leap years) and it would be nice to keep her happy for a couple of more days, instead of her looking back thinking how much better life could have been, if only she'd married someone who finished jobs on time.

Advice to wife, if a man says he is going to do something, no need to nag him every 6 months.

82 today. 65 this morning. Rain supposed to be here Monday. Dad has hay down. Hopefully we'll be able to bale Sunday.

Dad showed up at lunch holding a lift arm off his tractor. He had bent a shoe on the disc mower and was driving back to truck to straighten it when he crossed a set of ruts and the mower snapped his lift arm. Right through the bolt hole for the stabilizer. 70hp tractor 6 disc cutter. Said new one would be ready for pickup in the morning but was asking if I could weld it. Think I can but going to wait till the new one gets here as it's also bent, don't know how far to straighten.

Good evening all. 72F this morning overcast, calm, dry rain gauge. High temp was 88F, moderate east wind, couple of showers but not much rain. Got ride in this morning, worked on Trek and Volagi bicycles today, lubed chains and cleaned and lubed rear derailleurs. Volagi has a rear wheel bearing noise, will get into that tomorrow. Central Texas getting as much rain in a week as my area got in a month in May 2015
