riptides; Got stung three times in the same arm by some wasp or hornets. Who knows after the first one I was moving quickly. Lol. Arm is swollen and itching. Kept me up most of the night. Have not recalled when was the last time I got stung.[/QUOTE said:......................................................
Kinda amazing in a way how something as small can pack heck of punch.
DW's just do not understand the pain us DH's go thru. Minor pain, I don't think so. :confused3:Had some bites at the weekend that made my wife laugh (she has little sympathy at any males intolerance to minor pain). Some little midges (similar to your no-see-ums) had found their way into my underwear when it was drying on the washing line and got real hungry by the time I came to wear them. That anti-bite spray sure is cold![]()
Good morning! Looks like Friday will be the decision day on wether we will continue with the VFD Fish Fry. We are continuing with the preparations just in case the hurricane turns. We currently have a burn ban going so the moisture would be welcome. However with dozens of volunteers all geared up to make 1200 plates of food a 2 week delay would be an unknown factor. There is also the thousand pounds of Fish to contend with. Only once in 35 years has there been a rain-out in August, and no one can remember what effect the 2 week delay had.
If the hurricane hits there is high pressure in the west and a front from the North that will keep it circling the area dumping water. With 24" of rain it looks like either way Saturday will be a VFD day - either picnic or panic. How's that for a catchy news media headline.![]()
