The deer came along one night a few days back and pretty much ate my apple tree, it had over thirty apples, now there are three, just about all new growth eaten. View attachment 516114

Got off work early today. Came home. Too hot to do anything but gripe about the heat on TBN.

Going to help my Polish buddy do a brake job on his Altima tomorrow morning in our "3 hour window".

Then we will celebrate by going to get some taqueria breakfast tacos. It will be an international morning.

rs, I sure hope you can manage the pain when the meds wear off. IIRC, you don't drink much if at all? Gonna be a tenuous 6 weeks or so.

I have one thermometer saying 108 and one saying 100 so I guess your 104 is a good average. The sun feels like someone is holding a big magnifying glass on you today. Today is the lookyloo day for the auction down the street, but it's just too hot.

Good evening all. 78F this morning, clear, calm. Temps made only to 102F, some clouds, some wind. Weed-eated at stepdaughter's house, then went for bike ride.After lunch waited on irrigation guys to fix irrigation system, one zone completely not working and several sprinkler heads needed help. Nap, supper then a quick 6 mile ride back over to stepdaughter's house cause wife and I both forgot to turn on porch light :ashamed:

I bought a Makita sawzall there last week...blade lock is extremely difficult to use and the blade doesn't lock in when I do lock it down.

I did get to Home Depot...turns out the manual had incorrect instructions. It seems to lock when following the Home Depot tech's advice. We'll see when I try it out this weekend.

Humidty is high this morning after a good soaking of rain last night. The wind has dropped and the sun is steaming the ground, so maybe I will rethink my plans for the morning. I am slowly recovering back to pasture a patch of rough ground in a hollow and had intended to have another good go at it today with a solid blade on the Stihl. The thick rush is above waist high, making it tough going and gives both the engine and me a hard workout at the best of times. I'm sure the Stihl won't care about the weather but I doubt I would last long and don't fancy being a meal for the horse flies.

Then headed over to the clinic and got the last of my teeth extracted ... 12 in one shot.

That would be hard on the poor tooth fairies finances too. Did she have to leave an IOU note under your pillow?
