Good morning!!!!

Hahaha ... yeah, I'm thinking that's in the neighborhood of a .30 caliber problem there.

That one from my pond was 10 ft 4" and weighed around 240 lbs. It was taken with a .22LR and later with a sledge hammer for insurance. The insurance is needed because they are known for "going to sleep" and waking up in the boat after harvested. A buddy of mine got a couple weld patches on his aluminum boat for evidence.

this isn't some big trout flopping around either...what if it woke up and got your leg and pulled you under. Like that video everyone is seeing about the sea lion pulling the little girl
into the water from behind. I was thinking a .22LR through the eye. Assuming there is any brain behind it. Not quite up on my croc cranial configuration.
like they often say in the movies, I think I want a bigger gun... I'm a pacifist but when dealing with animals that want to eat me, I'll take a personal howitzer...death ray, I want it all. (actually I want a super stun gun but you are tired of hearing that from me)

I got the videos of my gator being taken with a 22 and also with the insurance sledge hammering. My lady won't let me put those "gross videos" on line. :)
BTW the kill shot was at the base the skull going through the spinal cord. Gator skull was too thick for .22 to penetrate reliably. Going right through the eyes often doesn't get the brain and you wind up with a gator blind in one eye and really really pissed off.

and since I have no idea where the base of the skull is, a bad shot would
still have an enraged animal bent on fight vs flight and that one good eye is right on me.
and I can't outrun a gator.
...but I figured there was a vulnerable spot. I don't think gators were designed for high powered guns, not much is.
I have a decent scope on my .22 rifle but then how do you hit the thing when it's wiggling around coming right at you.
No thanks, I'll leave that to the pros. Or overwhelming force hopefully. Or... TXDon's daughter.

Tx Don's niece could take that gator!

Bears make me want a .44 mag in both hands.

Hail damage to home includes windows, siding and screens.

Yukon XL was parked outside. It got it on the roof and hood

I'm sure TXDon's niece would think it's a piece of gator ready to be fried.
Sorry about your hail damage.
