Good morning!!!!

You are not the only one going to miss visits. I put off projects all year long with the excuse that I do it when Ron comes . . .:(

Yes, we will miss that humor.

Don, we had a beautiful rainbow east of us and then a beautiful sunset. But mostly I am thankful that my family is safe and the new roof held. My daughter was looking out the window and saw lightning strike multiple times at the same structure across the road.

Kids get out of school for summer tomorrow. They are stoked.

Getting my lab work done this morning so that I have the results for next week's wellness check. Hurry up and wait. They are busy here.

Hope all of you have a blessed day.

52°F and partly cloudy here this morning, going up to 70° today.

That is a magnificent picture, Don. We had a similar "sun-painting" under the clouds on the front of our barn and a couple of trees last night, but not nearly as stunning as yours. Very nice.

Good Morning!!!! 3276F @ 6:00AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 84F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

No wait, that can't be right! But that's what the computer interface to the Davis weather station sez. Guess what I'm doing after breakfast?

A cool 73F outside now, with a cooler high later on as well. Nice break that I'll take advantage of by catching up on some motorcycle maintenance in the garage (oil change and valve adjustment). After that I'll try to get a line on a local plastic supplier for some ABS sheet. I need to replace some of the backers that hold the upholstery to the door in the van, and having 4'x8' sheets of the stuff shipped costs more than the material.

Painting done for now, and I've settled on a nicely textured gray vinyl for the dash and door upholstery. I'll also order up a yard or two of ostrich textured vanilla color for a contrasting band, but may have to give that idea up if I can't manage to sew a straight line.

PJ, you sure have held some fascinating jobs, they should have sent you with that ace card. Or is "Pulling out all the stops" like that not permitted at an organ restorers ? (sorry, you must have heard that a million times when working there :ashamed: :))

Yeah, some have been fascinating, some not so much. I've worked as a piano mover, in a music store, inventory specialist in an office supply warehouse, a contract security company field supervisor, security at a chiropractic college, laborer on a horseradish farm, an electronics tech and quality jerk at a music electronics manufacturer, a quality jerk at an automotive headliner manufacturer, digital organ production supervisor and chief pricing agent at a 100-year-old pipe organ company, aerospace quality analyst, and quality manager for a precision clock manufacturer and now a tube fabrication company. I've been around a the block a few times.

Actually, as you apparently already know, that's where that phrase comes from ... pulling out all the stops on an organ plays everything at once. Depending on the instrument, that can indeed be a breath-taking experience. I really did enjoy my time at that place. I got to travel a bit and see some magnificent churches, and play some fantastic instruments in some pretty sweet acoustic spaces.

that's an amazing drop in temps over the day RNG. Pretty toasty out there this morning huh?

four inches of rain since yesterday,
when they predicted one, thankfully it came down slowly and road drains did not back up too badly.
More this afternoon and tonight.

bought lots of Rustoleum this morning from the local Ace Hardware. It's thirty cents cheaper at Lowes but these folks at Ace
are so nice. They get up out of their chair to help you, and the owners are all seniors, walk you to the right place on the aisle, not just "back there".
They have to...or Amazon will eat their lunch, and dinner, and...
And I was even reminded to get the spray adapter that goes on top of the rattle can, since I misplaced my last one.

am headed out to count plums on my Bruce plum tree. Sure looks like less than my original thirteen. I'm only asking for one...

Ron, congrats on selling the rv. Glad it was easy for you.

I'm guessing it's rare for temp to exceed 3000 degrees, in North Cali., this early in the year?

When I lived in Stockton, some days felt like 3000°! LOL
We've been stuck in the muggy upper 60's and rain for three days. Got to get busy, a lot going on and all the kids and grandkids coming for the weekend.

Good morning all. Sunny and unseasonably cool today.
I spoke too soon a couple days ago, we might have a day at 90 deg F before labor day. I was hoping we would have a new record for having a cool spring.

After hurricane Rita, when Lowes and HomeDepot were still closed, our local Ace hardware guys were out there with the hurricane clean up stuff ready out in the parking lot so people can pull in, pick up stuff and go. I knew some of those guys have broken home to tend to as well but they took turn to be out there for us. I don't forget that and reward them with my business.
