one of many, many reasons I miss my late wife was that she was an RN and watched me like a hawk. Unfortunately she was a comfort food red meat girl
and she wound up dying of cancer at age 57. When she was fine, she watched over me. When she got sick, I watched over her.
But she died too early, just like Don's brother. Some folks just aren't going to change their lifestyle choices, or feel they can't, or don't have enough faith
in themselves to do it. Toppop has a doc for a wife and he knows exactly what I'm talking about, as do many others with nurses as wives.
You really get spoiled... And now that Toppop's wife has retired and has some time to devote to her favorite patient, well what do you know, the new slim Toppop.
All good. We all have our time but let's not rush to get there.

55F and cloudy @ 07:00 ... heading up to a high of only 61F, with the possibility of a some sun later. The cool down will last through Sunday and then back up in the 70's. By next Friday they are calling for a high of 87F. Lots of trees are in full bloom now ... hawthorn, redbud, apple, etc.

Got some clean up done up in the shop yesterday ... picked up a back brace @ Walmart yesterday, seems to help some with the lower back pain ... although it doesn't do squat for the hip pain. Fortunately, I have an appointment with the orthopedic doc next week ... so hopefully I can get another couple of shots of lidocaine/hydrocortisone.

Also grabbed a 4" waterproof PVC junction box at the Depot, to mount an accessory outlet and three switches for the Kubota.

After I got back Zack stopped by and dumped another load of wood chips. Looks like he'll have another 3 loads this weekend.

Need to get the serial number off the 8hp Briggs on the lawn vac today so I can order a new muffler.

Probably more clean up in the garage and shop.

How long does it take to get them to eating size ?

Depends on who's doing the eating ... and whether they're looking for a full meal or just a little snack ...

You guys have got me thinking. I turned 50 a couple of years ago. I scheduled a physical with the dreaded finger check. I had had couple through the years and it had been awhile.
To my surprise, the LPN that did the physical told me that unless the blood and urine tests showed something, the finger or anything else wasn't necessary.
Should I be getting one anyway? My father had prostate cancer and kidney cancer later so I do worry about it. (He beat it with chemo and loss of one kidney).

Glad to hear your colonoscopy results came out fine.

I need to get one myself. Had a hemoccult (first one ever) done about a week or so ago and it came back negative so at least that was good.

Also had a prostate exam done (also first one ever) ... said it was enlarged but he didn't feel anything abnormal beyond that (Boy, I sure did ... ) ... also did a PSA, which came back @ 2.6, which I guess for my age is pretty decent ... although it ain't necessarily a guarantee of anything.

This reminds me of what my mom once told me. I would tell her your gonna go when your time comes no matter what you do and her response was yes but you can do things to hurry that time up.

Good Morning...arrived at the farm last night for the first visit of the year. The house made it through winter unscathed. Patches of snow remain here and there. They're forecasting a wintery mix tonight and tomorrow.
