Drinking first cup of coffee. 59° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° (Haskell, TX with mostly cloudy skies. Visited a bird sanctuary in San Antonio, NM yesterday. Western Sandhill Cranes winter there. But they had all flown northern in late February. People were interested in that we get them in our back yard every year. Had to show them my pictures from last fall.
Today we are starting our trip to visit Harvey (wroughtharv) and Glenda. Plan on about 400 miles. Not sure I will make it that far.

I went to Atlanta to see my daughter singing with the Emory choir. We celebrated Easter there. All was good except for me getting food poisoning at the end of the trip. Yesterday and today has been trying for the digestive system. I feel weak.

I got the colonoscopy prep that goes with OTC pills, 16oz to drink instead of triple that. Bought three flavors of jello today, sure am looking forward
to a diet of that tomorrow. Ugh.

bought boneless skinless chicken breasts today for $1.79 a pound at Food Lion. Just seems too cheap.

60's today, after some warm weather for the last several days. Gotta get moving, had my middle grandson yesterday and I got nothing done, and I loved it! This morning we drove him to school, he came in the door, I said hi Tanner, he says, "hi buddy", he's 5.

Good Morning! 34F @ 9:30AM. Partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms mainly during the morning. High near 60F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

Glad to hear that new techniques will soon be available to reduce the prep work for colonoscopies. I'm due for another in a few years, and drinking that awful liquid was by far most unpleasant part.:yuck:

Just learned that there are plans to close the only fully staffed fire station in the area, and spent the last two hours writing my county supervisor, representative, and senator to let them know how much I don't like the idea. It's already difficult to get homeowner's insurance, and with the closure I'll be forced into a state sponsored plan at triple the cost. Not to mention losing any kind of timely response for not only fire, but medical emergencies.

The technology has been out there for a long while. I believe the doctors just enjoyed tormenting us.
