Hmm, we have a lot. But I have "managed" them by keeping their old nests in particular spots. They seem to re-use them, the next generation though is always in build mode.

They do offer insect control which is why I like them around.

All true but, they also crap on porches and sidewalks under the nest.

True, newspaper and blue tarps for controlled crapping behavior. LOL. Yeah, I watch them little buggers really close.

That is why I poke at the new nests in areas they are expanding into. I try and keep them interested in one corner of the barn and equipment shed complexes.

I've had an ongoing with myna birds wanting to build a nest this spring. They found an open area under the gable where my kitchen exhausts come out of the wall. An amazing amount of building material they bring in. I have a long pole to remove it. Boy what a mess!!!! Been 2 days since last removal, so maybe I'm winning. Went thru same drill a couple years ago, but this year they have been especially persistent. Probably due to proximity where wife feeds them every morning.

My son and his family at the White House Easter Egg Roll, they've been applying for years and finally were accepted.

Good pic.
How did they do that?
What are the questions asked or acceptable criteria to get the invite?

That is too cool.

Roy, hope your inspection is going ok.

Don, how many dewberries can you eat in a day safely? I made dewberries flambe and it was awesome. But I used a pat of butter to cook down the sugar. You could probably do it with water.

Good evening all. 64F this morning, the high for the day. Thunder and overcast, rain started about 9:30 AM, last check 1.3 inches. Current temp is 58F low for the day. Had hoped to get some mowing in but no luck, did some consulting, and napped :)

39 right now...high in the mid-50's and clear. Looks like rain the rest of the work week.

We're still prepping for the audit...starts Thursday. I think we'll be OK, but one never knows...

A sunny morning, with afternoon expected to cloud over and peak at no more than 10C/50F. Ideal day to give the chainsaw some exercise.

David, do your myna's mimic machinery or voices ? No cursing while moving the nest.
