Good Morning all,
Cloudy with the promise of snow later today and tonight.
I spent last week in Scottsdale Arizona for the Barret-Jackson auto auction. Wow, lots of really nice cars. I wish I had the money to buy one or two. (68-72 Nova SS or a 70 Chevelle SS) As long as I'm wishing I'll take both of them. :laughing:
Other than that, the snow has been awesome this year and continues to be so.

37°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 45° today. Looks like we're getting back to more "normal-ish" temperatures around here this week.

Looks like the crackers will need to go till morning, when they will be crispy.
They are scored so the will break into 1" squares.

The crackers look better to me, as I am not really big on "greens".

That's 2 of our bunch that made it Barrett Jackson. I watched a bit of it on TV. Crazy how some of those cars cost now. I just tell my kids "Yep, rode in one of those too"...Not that they were watching...

one of my best friend's father almost brought home that L88 new, but the wife said no because no a/c.
Wonder if it had a back seat, my friend and his motorhead brother got their hard working father to buy the most amazing cars.
They bought a Stage IV white firebird instead. Followed by a GTO, which I always thought at 335hp were a little slow, particularly with
an automatic. Another childhood friend had a bright red 442 convertible with a Hurst automatic. My three closest friends now, all of us high school buddies, all had hot cars in high school. I had to work to save for college, no fancy car for me.

My friend and I still chuckle, I coulda had an L88!

41 now, fog has lifted a bit. At lunch, it was so dark, everybody's car lights were on.

All my buddies who were car freaks in the 70's are still into it now. Somethings just grow on ya!!

My brother still has a 68 Olds 442, all original numbers matching. The inside still looks like new. It needs a paint job but thats it. He paid 800 bucks for it in 1981, from the original owner.

Here's the best I can do for your 1" of snow.

Sorry but it's more like 7' of snow and that was 3 weeks ago. Pushing 10' there now!

How about $3.85M for a 67 L88? There were only 20 L88's built in the 1967 model year.

That was the more common combo, the blue with white stripe was much more rare, then of course later you could get a bunch of colors. I've owned 2 Trans Ams, 3 Formulas, 3 Firebird 400's 2 Firebird 350's and an Esprit that was a factory 400 H.O. car. Four were first generation, two were third gen, the others were second gen cars.

Lovely thin sliver of moon hanging in a pale blue sky this morning, with all the fields covered in a heavy white frost.
Funny how it is so easy to enjoy so many different kinds of weather until you have to drive a car. Good luck Roy, if you haven't already set off into the white stuff.

Nothing much has made it over the Atlantic to us in quite a while. We are getting out of practice with snow, very little so far this year. Lot of other countries in Europe have had a very generous helping, so much so that many of the vegetables imported into England from Spain and Italy are becoming unobtainable (thank goodness - maybe my wife will put her spiralizer away for a while and I will get to enjoy baked beans again )

Last night we had a good fire going in the woodburner and settled down on the sofa to watch the second in a series about musicals, presented by Neil Brand. He is great at telling stories about music, however when it came to some of the more obscure (to me) musicals, I let my wife watch while I spent a few minutes looking at the next day's weather on my phone. While browsing the magazine section of the news I came across a familiar picture and name



This morning I followed on to the audio section and heard Christy (txdon's niece), give a great 15 minute sound interview, especially when talking of the time when she couldn't at first bind the jaws of that big one in the car park and rang the game warden, thinking he would have to shoot it.

There will be a lot of people in the UK now admiring her determination - and wondering how many air fresheners she gets through in a year for her SUV and her home .

1" snow mostly sleet mix w/rain now,think I'll wait until late evening for clean up,if still raining clean Wednesday....rather have in snow amounts instead.

37 going to 55 and looks like the rain has ended for a spell. Fields turned into ponds yesterday, and some roads into streams.

Great to see Christy at work again. I listen to the BBC radio news sometimes when leaving the house to drive to hunt at 3am.

Lynn, if Drew only wants 1" of your snow, it looks like you have enough left to send me about a foot, please.

We didn't have many hot cars in my neighborhood growing up, but one friend had a 67 Mustang with a 429 (I think) that he worked on all the time. I'm sure it had 500 or 600 hp and he had many encounters with the police to the point that he had to sneak it through the back roads to get out of town.

39 out this AM. Dreary and windy last night. Lots of stuff to pick up for the burn pile which is way too big. Should be fun lighting that one up.
