Ron, you sound like a happy retired guy getting up late and just enjoying the world. Marvelous.
sorry your head is clogged, is it a specific allergy you know of?

I'm back on antihistamines at night, eyes itchy, so much
pollen out, after four or five dry days, one can see yellow clouds blowing by. Gets over everything including my porches which is a major hassle
keeping clean. You can't sit down anywhere, everything is covered in yellow. Must be amazing in Larro's grove of concentrated pines. Of course some of mine are really big and really tall and have zillions of those balls of exploding yellow pollen. Oversexed...why in the world would a plant need to douse the entire neighborhood with what has to be something reproductive. One seriously strong need to reproduce I guess...
Not sure which pollen is getting me. Lots of wind stirring it up along with dust and whatever is in it. We are having a cool spell that has made things worse. Antihistamines work at night. A prescription med during the day. Just do not feel like doing much. Well not much to do anyways. Warm weather will be back tomorrow.

RS, I am glad I don't have your neighbors!
Actually, it hasn't been too bad here ... our local community always has the lowest number of crimes reported in the small weekly paper out of all the surrounding communities, if you can believe that. Seems like most of what gets reported are domestic disputes, DUI/intoxication and the like ... comparably little in the way of burglaries and theft, although there is usually some.

The neighbor lady who told my wife about the four-wheeler theft, apparently said she liked someone up the street for the theft. New folks that just bought a home that was possibly foreclosure.

Whoever it was, pushed it out of the guys back yard up to our "road" - which is actually our driveway (we're the only ones on it)

We had a couple of break ins in the area, a few years ago. I bought a basic ADP system, I think the little placard out front is 80% of the value.
Yup ... I need to invest in some stickers that I can stick on the doors/windows around here.

One of the break ins was due to a local kid, he went to jail, for stealing friends m a bunch of folks. One pair of middle school kids got caught, but after they did 42 break ins.
Good grief ...

Why their parents never questioned their massive accumulation of "stuff" escapes me.
Quite possible that it's a family enterprise ...

We had that here, about 30 or 40 years ago ... they broke into the shop through the only window that was on the backside of the building (masonry block) and got Mom and Pops Cub Cadet. The whole family was involved ... in fact, I had gone to school with the daughter. Needless to say after that incident Pops had the window removed and the opening blocked up.

Those 2 were a few miles away, never hit my area.
Hope it stays that way.

The other break in was drug related, but I personally think it was a fake.

Good luck!
Thanks.

It used to be that sufferers of allergies were recommended to move to AZ. Not sure if that is true anymore. Ron, hope you get better soon. We are having post oak and huisache pollen clouds right now. My eyes are more bloodshot than usual.

A bit busy at work right now on another custom fuel cell.

Good morning all. 56F this morning, partly cloudy and light breezes. Forecast for clouds leaving, 74F and moderate winds from north. Billing spreadsheet untouched yesterday so rapidly becoming a priority. Mostly putter jobs, researching thinning St Augustine grass (septic drain field really thick  ) and couple of consulting items.

Good morning, Warm at 64 degrees with sun and wind. Had rain overnight.
Not on any antihistimines yet but the tree pollen is starting to get high.
I also use roundup on our lane and around the shed. I have tried 2-4-D in the yard but with this forest clay and low sun the only thing that grows well is moss.
Back in the 80s I was a plant manager for a Farm Service Co. for 3 years. We supplied fertilizer and chemicals to licensed farmers and did custom applications of both. At that time the herbicides were not as concentrated as they are today and you had to mix gallons and gallons of herbicide to water to do a field. Today it is ounces to gallons and gallons of water. Even then we spent a lot of time schooling to apply the chemicals and you had to have a license to do it or buy any. Today it seems anyone can get their hands on some wicked stuff and do what they want. That is scary.

Good scouting trip. Checked two main fields - 4 gobblers and 13 hens...and heard two other gobblers back in the woods. Only picked up 2 ticks on my hike...and the dogwoods and azaleas are blooming there, and the wild yellow jasmine was fragrant.

Drew, correct - shotgun with special birdshot.

Funny, all the talk of herbicides - I stopped on the way home and picked up a 2.5 gallon jug of 41% glyphosate - $31.95 - cheapest I've seen in a while. That's the only herbicide I use and very sparingly...and no pesticides.

Welcome TNTurf.
