87F @ 8AM. Sunny. High near 105F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Drew, hope everything works out OK on the date. Not sure I'd be OK with an 80 year old chauffeur/chaperone though. It's not like you two kids need adult supervision after all...
MostlyG, this was more of a get-there-and-get-back kind of trip, with stops only to eat and fuel the bike. Figured you guys were getting board with pics of food, and didn't want to get gas on the camera:laughing:
Don, you ARE adventurous. First cactus beer, now wild grape bread! I guess what doesn't kill you makes you stronger? :licking:
MFW, you ARE moving right along. That 261 is supposed to be a great saw, better than anything Stihl sells now. If it feels right, do it, but don't forget the pre-nup! I admire your courage.
The hummers were happy to see me yesterday afternoon, especially in this hot weather. 102F was a bit much after a week of cooler mountain weather. I guess that's the price to be paid for no snow to shovel in the winter?
I'll hitch the trailer to the truck this morning before it gets too hot, so it'll be ready to load the recall bike in the morning. Hope to get to the dealer before they open so the bike will be first in for the work. With a little luck it'll be ready by the time I'm finished with my shopping and I can avoid an extra trip to town this week.
Happy Hump Day gang!
