34F & cloudy. Mid 50's today, rain this evening.

The snow banks are melting back and down along the roads, ugly season. Dirty old snow covered with the winter's accumulated road sand highlighted by items of previously buried litter here and there. No snakes though.

Looking forward to the new puppy pics Gary.

Good Morning. 0715, partly cloudy, 60F with 96% humidity. Forecast high of 77F with 90% chance of thunderstorms today, and a low of 61F tonight. We have a cold snap on the way. Low's in the high 30's and low 40's over the weekend.

I'm going to put the disc on the 3930 and cut up mine and Mamma's gardens, then get started on my planting. The rain is supposed to get here after lunch, so I want to get some seeds in the ground before then. If the rain is hard enough, I will have to cut the unplanted part again in the morning before tomorrow's planting.

Hope everyone is having a good day,

Larro

49 this morning and that is the high for today. .25 inches of rain over night. Still raining and more to come.
Did get the dozer running yesterday and posted some pics over in the seat time thread. Burnt the garden off along with the tree I had piled on it last fall. Today's an inside day as it looks right now.

Drew good luck at the cc.

Coffee is brewing. 66° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 90° with lots of bright sun. Getting a little warm here in AZ. If wife did not have a doctor appointment on the 6th we would be headed north to some cooler weather. Good thing is it's cool in the morning. Lots of patio time until about 1pm. Then it's to hot to sit outside.
Good Morning All.

43F when I got up this morning, on the way to a high of 81F. Sunny skies and light winds for the rest of the week.

Farmer, hope you're back on your feet real soon.

And Drew, slow down! Yer makin' the rest of us look bad again!

The hummingbirds have been swarming the place for the last week or so, going through a quart of nectar in just a couple of days. Hung a new bigger feeder on the south side of the house to get some photos of them showing off their colors in the sun. That also takes some pressure off the two on the north side, and keeps one aggressive bird from chasing all the others away.

Headed to town today for groceries and supplies. It should be a nice trip through all the green and wild flowers.

Enjoy your day, folks. Friday's comin'!

68°F and .78 inches rain last 24 hours.

Today starts a major clean up, time to put everything back in its place so I can find it again. I need better tool/material discipline :)

Be safe
Have a great day

I've been waiting to put my humming bird feeders out, figured it was still too cold. Supposed to hit 29 here on Saturday.
Maybe next week.

rain has stopped, hopefully a little drying out time before it comes down much stronger tonight. Nice system over the Gulf again headed this way, first drenching Larro as we speak. But at least it's warm out.

Went down to the Kubota dealer to pick up my 12 inch auger for the PHD. I'm going to go down one side of my property and continue to plant a lot of sight barrier trees. One area is real lowland and I wonder if I should plant a weeping willow or two down there, below the orchard. Most of the barrier trees are leyland cypress, intermixed occasionally with something totally different, so it won't look like a monotonous wall.

any suggestions for trees that like wet ground occasionally?, and at times, for a few months at a time. Most trees don't like wet roots.

Pecan trees do very well in those situations. I know where several hundred are planted in bottom ground right next to a large river. This river leaves it's bank several times per year, the trees are just fine...thriving actually.
