The old light was sort of funky.
Down globes don't collect flies and ladybugs. I think you moved up.
Now he needs to move up from Subway!!!

It got to 72 F today or should I say yesterday as it's now Sunday 1:45 AM. I went to the shop yesterday and worked on my truck. Got the old engine out a few days ago and then yesterday got the other engine put in and wired back up. Today I'm going back to the shop and gonna finish up the truck. Just have to hook the exhaust back up and finish setting the distributor in time and it should start up and I should have my truck back on the road.
If I get it finished tomorrow I should be able to drive it home.
The other engine seized up on me.
If I was closer I'd be glad to mow for you.

Our four year old grandson was staying with us last night. At first daylight he looked out the window and said "granddad, it's all icy the sheep have not got any water". He was right. A smashing start to the day for me, hope you all have a smashing day too.

good morning all.
another nice day here, 49 at the moment going up to high fifties.
productive day yesterday, tuckered out today...sharpened the blades on the garden tractor and
fully serviced it, ready to go when the lawn pops up, shortly. btw, I did not get under there like that...all safetied up
before I crawled under. That loader sure makes things easier; nice that John Deere puts a strong bumper up front.
and lastly got the berry garden finished with the fencing in.
I was a muddy mess when I was done the day but fully satisfied.
my fun job for today will be installing copper tree tags on the orchard trees. Only get one chance, no corrections writing on soft copper for sure. Looked pretty neat when I was done my first one but wonder how visible it will be in a few years. They also suggested a paint pen. Not sure what that is, and whether to go to Office Depot or Lowes.

barn is a mess, most of the workshop pulled out as the walls are getting studded and insulated for heat next winter.
So all my tools have to go someplace, I can't find half of what I need, and I will be seriously glad when I can put stuff away properly.

15 right now...high of 18 today. Got a bit of a chill coming the next few days going back to single digit nights.
About all I did yesterday was move the tractor and truck away from the garage so I could chop some lingering ice. Then went to the outbuilding and checked on the mowers...and played with the doggie for a while.
I did put together a plan for my snow blower dolly too, but I haven't decided if I'm going to use 2x4 or 4x4 beams

paint pen, you should find them at your local steel supplier or welding supply shop. Just buy one at a time as they tend to dry out before you get to use them. At least that has been my experience, just annoying not that they are expensive. Snow here this morning just a dusting but cold again after a high of 6C yesterday and sunny, clear now though might still be a nice day.

Never want to fire up machinery on Sunday morning. Folks
very religious around here and I'm surrounded by small churches.
actually I think I can light off the burn pile this morning, and sit there tending it while
reading the wad of estimates I got for fencing in the orchard.
The range goes from horribly expensive to absurdly expensive.
But the orchard is the focal point of my property, to me anyway, so
I suppose it's just another back up gen or mold restoration.
BOAT was always break out another thousand in boating.
BOATT seems to be more appropriate here...

Got the pole saw out yesterday and trimmed some branches down the hill to keep a few views open between the trees to some of my food plots. Will soon hopefully be able to watch the gobblers strut.
Have my in-laws coming in today for a couple of days for a nice visit.
The Carolina wrens have built their nest on top of one of our outdoor speakers on the screened porch, again. I had to take the door off one year for them and have left it off. They are so cool to watch. Porch is mainly used for firewood and bird seed during the winter.
Unfortunately, I had to remove one nest built on top of the rear end of my tractor when I hooked up my bush hog last week. They can build a big nest in 2 or 3 days, about the amount of time between using my tractor last week. Carolina wrens usually build more nests than they use, with the female picking her favorite to lay eggs. Hey, didn't you all build more than one house for your wife to pick from?

Roy, I'm really interested in your implement dolly work. When you start to build them, would you post your pics somewhere please. I dream of having a concrete floor with implements on rolling dollys.
