Good Morning! Like Arizona Ron our temperature this morning is 60˚. It's cloudy so we will only hit in the mid 70s.

I think I need to post every minute to get the 4 millionth post prize. I should have guessed later in February.

Drew, good luck - hope the Judge is in a good mood - if not just tell him where to go - to the coffee shop for some caffeine.

We were in Yorkshire yesterday and headed back home over the Pennine hills early in the evening to try and beat the forecasted snow and high winds.
The M62 motorway goes right over the top of the hills. This is the highest motorway in England.

There is a place near the top where, for a few hundred yards, the highway splits in two to pass either side of Stott Hall Farm.

What a place to live, in the middle of nowhere, yet totally surrounded by traffic for 24 hours a day.

The entire route has some great scenery. Not such a great place get stuck in winter.
If the trucks loose traction on the slopes everything comes to a standstill, then it doesn't take long for drifting snow to fill in the gaps.
Fortunately they had spread plenty of grit yesterday, so things kept moving.

Wow. Just looked at weather. 53 this morning and a high of 51. Scratch head.

More of the old same for me.

now I knew you guys would have too much fun with this.

So, here i am surrounded by a room full of meth dealers, crack addicts, career criminals discussing their various
prison stays. First they called the drug users who were giving the option of some program. Lots of folks stood up, most looking a bit rough. Sad really. Then they got to my name ,and I replied "responsible" "minor traffic ticket" "would like to discuss with you". As earlier instructed. I walked up with my letter from the other party basically praising me, and as I was handing it to the processing guy, with the arresting detective in the next row, he immediately said County moves for summary dismissal. Ok, so that's it? Yes, free to go.

Well.....the fix was in. I never had to say one word about what happened, I must have been pre-dismissed. Looks like the good detective had his fingers in the pie.

Less than 30 seconds from calling my name and dismissing the minor traffic ticket.
Whew.....
more importantly, no more worrying about it and time to go saw up some logs for firewood.

let's see, work on taxes or saw wood. Not hard to make that choice.

The traffic is all going the wrong way!

:laughing: First thing I noticed too.

We've been streaming some UK TV series, Midsommer Murders, George Gently, etc., it always looks so odd for people to be getting in and out of their vehicles on the opposite side, etc. Enjoyable shows.

Ya, I wouldn't want to live between the highway lanes. There is probably a bit of a story there.
