41F. Sunny all day once the clouds moved out this am.

I puttered in the garage this afternoon. The 3pt blower got some TLC and is ready to go, exercised the generator, finally changed the lawn mower filter & oil.

Larro we have been inundated with political calls. The more money they have to spend, the more they feel free to interrupt with nuisance calls.

Drew, Hope your leetle problemo is soon healed.

25 right now...dry cold so it's not too bad. The high is supposed to be 57.

Off to work in an hour and a half....then vote on the way home.

28 degrees right now and heading up to nearly 57 degrees later on today.
will be at the poles today watching an antique fire truck we have on display.
part of a fund raiser for the historical group nice but means someone has to be there to make sure no one damages the truck.

49F and partly cloudy @ 04:30 ... with a high of 63F predicted for today. Could have some rain later today as a cold front moves through.

Just woke up and am enjoying the cup of coffee the wife made for me yesterday afternoon that I forgot to drink then.

Got two trees dropped yesterday morning ... an 7" or 8" ash which had died a year or so ago and a 10" quaking aspen which was still alive ... both of them probably 40'+ tall ... didn't get around to skidding them out though. Will do that this morning.

Wife and I worked on picking up more leaves from the little wooded strip between the lawn and polebarn ... think we got another 2 1/2 Trac-Vac loads out of there before we quit. That area is pretty much cleaned up at this point. In terms of leaf clean up, it's probably the best that it's been in a number of years. Will be nice to not have to deal with the mess come spring.

After that I threw the loader on the Kubota and piled up the all the leaves I had dumped into the compost pile.

Then we worked on finishing up the four ornamental trees we planted last week, Did a little pruning on a couple, wrapped all the trunks with wrap, staked one, and added more composted soil around the bases and gave several of them a drink. Still have to stake two of them and put some 4" plastic flex pipe around three of them to keep the bucks from rubbing their antlers on the trunks.

After that it was about dark and I was dispatched to the Indian restaurant down in Canton to pick up dinner while she went grocery shopping. She got the chicken curry (mild) and I went with the lamb (medium hot +) and some garlic na'an ...

I was gonna change it and just go with hot when I was placing the order ... but she gave me the stink eye ... probably a good thing 'cause the medium + had me drippin' with sweat ... my hair was totally soaked. Fell asleep shortly after that, around 20:00 or so ...

Supposedly my young helper will be by today to work ... think I'm gonna have him cut up some logs for fire wood.

I'm going to throw boom pole on the tractor and pull the snowblower out and move it up to the house so I can service it and get it ready to go.

Got some leaves on the ground now to deal with, and definitely will be heading to the polls.
