35F. The storm passed to our southeast mostly. Just a partial coating of snow here on the grass. Power was off for ~2 hours from wind. Mid-20's tonight after it clears.

Tomorrow is looking like a good day, at least until it's pitch black at 5 pm. I'm not a fan of changing time either. Here on the eastern side of the EST zone we have early morning light but dark evenings. I'd rather they pick one or the other, daylight or standard, and stick with it.

Sodamo, I've had a number of times in the past week when I couldn't connect to TBN while in a session. The current page is fine but trying to navigate somewhere else fails. Then 2 minutes later all is fine again. I can connect to other sites while waiting for TBN to return. Maybe that is related to your posting issue?

EDIT: I just deleted the dup of this post. That seems to be on the increase again.

Yes he retired last January, good guy he is a big practical joker had lots of good times with him. The young officer in the front row, second from the right looking at photo is his son. Hector won a national mustache contest, he was basically off the road for last few years he worked. He could get into almost any lock or locked car.

It was a crazy ending to the Nascar race. Bad Brad was doing something to get the mild mannered Jeff Gordon mad enough to fight. The big wigs changed the Chase format to get more excitement toward the end of the season. I think it's working. It was the first time I can remember seeing busted lips and the like during post race interviews.

I know the Shepherds are good dogs and very smart, but growing up my Daddy never let us have one. He spent 6 months in a German POW camp, and the dogs they had there were too well trained. He was not one to hold a grudge, but he never warmed up to that breed of dog.

Just woke up ... fell asleep around 20:00 after having a huge plate of of the wife's spaghetti ... chased with a plate full of peanut butter cookies and a glass of milk ... way too much.

Got another 2 1/2 loads of leaves picked up today ... air temp was chilly ... but the sun made it seem like it was warmer than it actually was.

The northeast planting bed along the drive to the polebarn is all cleaned up, and the grassy area are just above the polebarn is mostly done ... finish that in the morning.

Just had to run up to the shop to make sure I had locked it up ... the alarm went off ...

I had (locked it up) ... apparently it was a mouse that triggered it ... think that's the first time that's happened.

Calling for partly cloudy and a high of 58F with no precip for later today ... should be able to get a lot of outside work done.

31 right now....brrrrr! Today's high will only be 48.

We had a pretty nice Sunday....got rid of most of the leaves in the back yard and mowed it one last time for the season. It was pretty cold when I mowed (see yesterday's post). Wife got a nice fire going to take off the chill...and I finished up her delicious and hearty vegetable soup....yummy!

I have another wall to powerwash this afternoon once it warms some.

I love reading your dog stories. I've always had at least one and raised several litters of Brittanys. Our Chesapeake puppy is now 8 months old and a blast.

Coffee was just poured. 39° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 56° with clouds clear later in the day. Leaves are falling. But may have to wait until weekend for last of them to fall. Need to clean up limbs that fell from storm Friday.
