Going for that last 2" will get ya every time.

I don't know what it is about mowing and human psychology. It's amazing how easy it is to become compulsive about getting every last blade of grass as if the world depended on it. It's strange.

I do have a serious problem and will get help. :confused3: Between having to get a little closer with the backhoe and a little closer with the mower I have created many projects. Even slowing down just enough (I thought) to let the buzzards leave the roadkill has resulted in monetary loss.

This rural living just needs more space than the crowded freeways of the city.

Howdy all,

Been a while since my last post...

Let's see...

Weather: Frost on the ground Sunday morning, today will hit 81 with a low of 61, and Saturday the low is predicted to be 29!!!

Job: Of the 3 top prospects I was deeply interviewing for, one informed me last Tue. I was off the list, then Thur. I go the word my verbal job offer was revoked, the last one I had another interview yesterday and learned there are likely 2 more, and while tey want the role filled immediately, it is taking a week plus for each round of interviews to get scheduled... I am back to digging for new jobs to apply for and restart this process again. 5 months unemployed this Friday...

Health: The tennis elbow, sore bicep/shoulder I got from limbing with a 20" farmbossis still bothering me. I'm trying to take it easy (no push ups, no chain sawing, etc.) but dang this is slow healing... Some days the strap for tennis elbow helps, other days, not so much, and nothing helps the shoulder/bicep. I saw my Chiropractor (he has a low rate for uninsured guys like me) and he said it is not typical tenis elbow, and I do not have rotator cuff injury, just tendonitis, rest is his rx. Sigh...

Fun: A friend invited me to the redskins game a week ago Sunday (he has season tix) and they won and it as a hoot to tailgate etc. with my buddy. Then last night I watched MNF with a good friend at a local watering hole, and they won again...Seem I need to keep following the Redskins so they will keep winning.

I enjoyed catching up with you guys, wish I had something good to add into the mix, someday maybe...

Be well all,
David

Good morning all. 53F this morning and sunny after the sunrise. Had rain/thunderstorms overnight, 1/4 in at reporting station, I think I had more but rain gauge was not out. Breeze is supposed to slow down, 66F for the high today. Friday has a forecast high of only 49F, normal is 65F or so. Attic inspection bike ride and crawl space inspection on the agenda for the next few days.

Got most of the mowing done yesterday.
Need to get a bit of housekeeping done before picking up wife at airport tonight. Sure will be glad to get her home. The dogs agree :) We've all missed her.

Be safe
Have a great day.

David - You should get paid to watch the Skins!

And about this "healing" thing. It takes longer as we get older. And for a lot of things it seems "rest" means not "aggravating" it even a little bit. I'm still recovering from back pain after dropping a tree wrong last November. For a long time I couldn't function vertically for more than 15 minutes and I was getting ready for my fourth back surgery. But setting aside one day for "minimal" work involving my back and I'm getting so I can actually go hardware shopping without a cane.

Good luck with the job hunt.

Boy, last night was all tossing and turning...tonight I went out like a light (at 1900) and woke up at 0230 (about 45 minutes early).

Any now for the news and weather:
43 right now, high of 59 today....looks like no snow this weekend.

62 heading to 73, after a windy 84 yesterday.

I got so much accomplished yesterday that I might take today off and play (recuperate). Actually, I think rain may run me back inside early this afternoon.

Good hearing from you, MossflowerWoods.
