Drinking first cup of coffee. 43° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 71° with off and on clouds. Sure glad I'm down here in warmer weather. -10° up north at our home in MI. Going to do some tourist stuff today.

Morning all, 1F here heading to 10F. Wind chill not a factor so far as there is no wind. Possiblity of snow later on.

Didn't get the snow or cold predicted - only 2.5 inches and only down to 10 degrees, but with strong winds. Taking a snow depth measurement for CoCoRaHS was difficult because the depth varied so much due to the wind.

The powdery snow was easy to clear to add some bird feed to the ground and feeders for the several dozens of birds that have shown up.

We got up at. 4 to take mom for her surgery, sitting in waiting room now.

-3 this morning with couple inches of snow over night,chance of snow thru out the day and very windy later with a high of 5 today.
toppop 52 hope the surgery went well.

01-22-2014 Currently 21 degrees. Got to 14 last night. Wind chill 8 degrees. Heater will stay on in the pump house for the next 4 days at least.

No blizzard or snow here. It has warmed rapidly from -1*F to 1*F. :laughing: Windy enough to make staying indoors a good idea though for today and Mr. Sunshine went back into hiding.

It's not our usual weather to have cold temps and heavy cloud cover together, but that's been common this winter.

Talked to my friend in Germany the other day and they are having a very mild winter. 10-15 deg. C and he saw a honey bee flying not long ago. :confused2: The jet stream has been on some wild swings the past couple of years.

1 degree here, not as cold as some of you guys. 3rd cup of coffee, think it should be the last today, I feel like getting up and doing a little happy dance right now, for no good reason? The propane truck just dropped off a load, $3.39 per gallon, that really hurts. I called them yesterday, I looked at my gage and it was just under 20%. We had 6 days of no power in November, and 7 days in December of no power, so I was running our 15kw propane genny quite a bit. Add in some below zero temps, and we used quite a bit more propane than usual. I am putting that woodstove in this spring. Hopefully, that will take some of load off the furnace. Going to lunch with a neighbor today, both of us are retired, need to get out some. Have a good one!!
