I keep a pretty good stack of wood in the garage...and load up the Gator's bed a couple days in advance to replenish the wood stack.
I got a reasonably good price on the cord I bought and I doubt I can get as good a price now...my mistake for not getting more. I didn't realize we'd be burning as much as we have been. However, the stove we got with the house is designed to heat 1600 sq feet. Our place is almost twice that. Even discounting the garage (which isn't heated), I'm estimating we're still heating 2400-2500 sq feet.
I will ask about ash, though...see what's available.

In the past I was able to effectively make my wood stove heat more footage than it was designed for by adding humidity and using ceiling fans and the cold air returns for the central heat. I don't know if any of tht applies to your situation.

We use the ceiling fans and sometimes put a kettle on the stove...decent results.
My wife is always bitchin' about "it's cold...yada yada yada" unitl summer...then "it's too hot...yada yada yada..."
Me...I'm fine. I pull a flannel shirt or sweatshirt on until the stove heats up, then I'm down to a tee shirt.

Roy--use some fans in addition to the ceiling fans and the movement will make it feel much warmer. We run a small electric fan that blows across the front of the stove as well as other fans in other rooms. Years back when we fully depended on wood we had small computer fans in the corners of the doorways. It did a very effective job of moving heat around and, in effect, stretched our wood.

You might want to check out the sugar content comparison between milk and OJ. The milk I'm using (98.5% fat free) claims only 4.3g of sugar per 100ml. Sorry don't have any OJ to check the label but OJ is one of the recommendations to give to a diabetic having a hypo.

It would be interesting seeing a similar detailed lecture combining the effects of Carbohydrates and Sugar

I looked at the ingredients on my fat free half and half. Number two was, no surprise, corn syrup. So, no fat but tons of calories and carbs.

Fat turns to sugar that actually is worse for your glycemic index than sugar it's self.

I sold my last boat and all 4 jet skis around '07. I miss seeing them but I can't say I actually miss them.

Only the fish that nature supplies will be in it now this I have to see, and pictures too.... do Texan fish have boots and walk? how are they gonna get there?

I have been told eggs on ducks feet. Maybe. I know we had a pond at work that had bluegills and sure wasn't stocked. It was spring fed not creek fed so don't know how else they got there.
