Drew, our thoughts and prayers are with you and Nadine.

We raised a son and daughter, both have a beautiful little boy, great spouses and a good life. Both played sports throughout the years. My son played football and baseball. My daughter was tall and a lefty, (batted right), She got my dad and brother's ball talent. She was the best softball first baseman I have ever seen and I've seen a bunch. Short hops were her specialty, in practice the girls would try to get one past her, rarely did the succeed. She hated losing, too.

Good morning! 56˚ heading to 72˚ bright clear sunny skies. Perfect day.
The road is bladed and smooth and I'm planting rye grass on the shoulders today. It is suppose to rain again next week. The berm that channeled water across the road has been removed so the road is ready for the next flash flood test.

47* now on its way to upper 50's today with decent sunshine. It's a fine day out there. The weather is supposed to go downhill tomorrow.

Sharon & Sira are gone to yet another dog show in S. New Hampshire. I plan on getting out the squeegee and washing our windows today after taking Milos for a walk.

Just before 8am, a cow and young bull moose wandered up through the house clearing. He was sticking close to her, so there must be moose love in the air. :laughing: The bull was probably a two-year-old, not a big rack.

.....After visiting the wife, will go work with my BIL taking down the garden fencing. Not going to have a garden next year, it was all for Nadene.....

I am full time reader but seldom poster on this thread. Seldom because I HATE to talk in the morn...and since the Good Morning thread gets read in the morn..I quietly sit by and watch the extended "family" scurry around getting ready for their day. I might mention that you guys (and FG) will occasionally elicit a short grunt, growl, tear or chuckle; or your posts might cause me to stop reading and reflect in quiet thought.

With all that said (so early on a Saturday) - the real reason for my post:

Drew, you are an awesome man. You have done much to comfort Nadine, to provide an altered lifestyle that you both could share thru her illness. I am amazed and very proud of you. That men still exist that believe in the wedding vows - till death do us part.

Undoubtedly, you have shared only the fun and pretty aspects of being the caregiver of a terminal patient. Your creative ideas to bring one more smile to your brides lips. But we know there is little in regards to "fun and pretty" in these situations. Again sir, you are an awesome man.

I pray now for the Lord's will to be done. You sir have earned a basketful of crowns. May God bring peace to you.

Good Morning. Sunny, 57* with 78% humidity. Forecast high of 75* with no chance of rain. I don't have to go into work until after lunch today. We have the Saddle Club banquet tonight. The place will be full of young cowboys and cowgirls, and their families. Lots of ten gallon hats and boots. I will get to see some childhood friends that I only see once a year.

Drew, you are a fine man. Our prayers are going your way.

A few months ago I posted a fuzzy picture of three bucks I had taken from my backporch. This one is a little clearer.

When you visit Nadine hold her hand and talk to her about the garden and other wonderful memories you have with her. We never know what our loved ones can feel and hear. I had been told by the doctors my dad wasn't aware of anything and couldn't hear us. After several days I asked dad if he could hear me blink his eyes. He blinked so hard there was no question that he could hear us. From then on we talked with him by asking yes or no questions.

200 ft of chainlink hung, but not dressed, probably wait until all is hung.

Likely no fence today, have to check out garage sale of friends moving back to Ca, then a 60 birthday bash this afternoon for another friend..
