MouseField,

How'd you teach your chickens to tell time? That is flipping awesome. Can you tell me how so I can teach my chickens
:D :D :D :D
David

I also have a light with a timer on it using a day light bulb, set for 2AM as my girls :chicken: like at least 14 hours of "daylight", so when I go out just after the crack of dawn there is usually 60-70 eggs waiting for me. :)

Slept in today, then out for bfast at the local diner. It was standing room only, took us about 10 minutes to get a seat there. Nice to see local biz picking up. A couple of years ago, the owner told me that his gross was down nearly 50%, and he was thinking of closing. Good to see him survive. Having some coffee, then going out to do some yard work, it's maybe 40F. Hopefully the sun will come out!!!

Good morning TBNers!

Not a bad morning here in Scotland. Effing freezing as per but at least it's not raining or, God forbid, SNOWING!

Got the old "HOOVER" coffee cup filled up for the second time this morning, even though I slept pretty good I still need my caffeine.

Got to get out the house at about 8:40AM (UK time) for my first day's paid work.

Have a good and healthy day guys.

It is 35 here headed to sunny and 52. I am thinking about riding one of the Harley's to work today... Not going to get many chances.

Tonight they are forecasting a low of 27, we have not been below freezing yet...

Be well,
David

Got the coffee brewing at correct time today. 31 degrees with clouds. Heading to 42 with sun and clouds. Was watching NASCAR race yesterday evening and fell a sleep. Woke up and said no problem. Because I had recorded it. Got to the last restart and recoding ran out. :( No problem, recorded the rerun at 1am this morning. Ran the replay this morning while posting. Go Jimmie!!!
Got my son and grandson to help trim a tree that is next to garage. Have to cut the limbs up and run threw chipper today.

Good morning! 61 now up to 82 this afternoon. Our county had a record # of early voters the last two weeks. I'v seen very few political commercials but that could be because I'm streaming StarTreck in the evenings. :D

The minor pointers on the compass rose are cut, today I start on the major pointers. Only 80 pavers to cut but showers predicted this afternoon might close the project early.

G'day yall. 31 degrees here, cloudy but finally not raining. Looks like a dusting of snow last night. Can't wait to watch the F1 race this AM and then get off to doing chores (don't have to work today).

Oh, and Mouse, my chickens can't tell time but they can dance a mean jig!

Our chickens must be lazy, they sit around all day watching Nascar on the DVR.

35 degrees and a high of 47 predicted...going to be a chilly day. Looks to be that way the whole week!

Drive was cleared of fallen leaves yesterday, the trailer was parked by the shed (probably for the winter). I guess the next tractor chore is installing the tire chains.
Heading out shortly for a urine test (after I call to ensure they have the paperwork!) and a haircut.

Boy, I reported at least 5 spam threads this morning!

Cold, and going to mid 40's today. Worked on clearing up my junk pile yesterday, need to work at the shop this am. Then back to the house for the real work!! Talked to a neighbor last night, he retired when his Ford plant closed. He is a very unhappy guy, he is 65 but wishes he was back at work, in 4 years he has spent all of his savings. He was counting on his wife working, she is 20 years younger, but her health problems have stopped that. I need to stop and be thankful for what I have.

Jamie - Go get 'em!!!

Sun with cloud today and a high of 56F. Looking at planting some of our 1,000 garlic blubs we plan to get into the ground this week.

Jamie, have a great first day a work. May it go better than expected.

Ask your neighbor what I need to do to find a wife 20 years younger than me... He must be drawing a pension and should be able to collect a reduced SS benefit at his age. I only have a pension now and I just refinanced what was a paid-for house to buy out my soon-to-be-ex's equity...I better go look for work myself....yeah, like somebody would hire a 61 year old, semi-alcoholic unskilled grump like me...

Was 20 degrees here with a heavy frost but they predict it will warm to the high 50's in a few days.

Jamie...great to know are you getting a step on the ladder to beginning a career in the working world...I give you a hard time but am secretly very pleased you have this opportunity.

good morning all. 44F going to a whopping 46F today with intermittent rain. Leaves mostly done may get into converting vinyl into MP3 today.

No problem passing it...been practicing all night!!
Seriously, if I came up positive, somebody is getting sued. My partying days ended about 27 years ago,

Yep, for a job...in fact, it's for that federal job (in West Virginia) I wrote about 6-8 months ago. It's been just about...just OVER a year since I'd applied for it.
We're heading to Vermont for an interview on Wednesday...I'd love to get this one! Vermont is a beautiful state and very rural. My wife is even enthusiastic about this one.
Then Monday, I go to western PA for another interview. Nice thing is the companies are paying for the trips (reimbursed, actually). That's always a good sign, but I ain't gonna buy a new Caddy yet.
You know I'm doing 3rd party source inspection and auditing for an aerospace company located in Ohio. I like the job, but I'm just not getting enough hours to make a decent living. We're paying the bills, but not much left over.
