Thanks...the red/green ones on the freezer top are the half the harvest from two, I either consumed or gave away the other half earlier this season...as for the green bell peppers in the carrier...must have harvested well over 230 from 15 plants this year. Most of them were given away. I will cut, wash, and tray freeze the bigger peppers then bag them for long term freezer storage, the cayennes get washed and strung on a cord like Xmas lights.
Sounds like you have things all planned out.

Tell me though, how did you grow them in the first place?

Oh, you newbies....there is this thing people do that is preparing a "G-A-R-D-E-N" (patch of bare ground or turf where vegetation has been removed) which is where they use a patch of "S-O-I-L" (earth) loosened by digging and/or tilling, then they plant these things called "S-E-E-D-S" or "S-E-T-S" in the loosened soil, then they "W-A-T-E-R" (irrigate) the plants/and or seeds until the "H-A-R-V-E-S-T" (ripe crops) are ready to pick. Simple, huh???

Ah! Thanks Bill, it's all much clearer now

What I actually meant however was where did you grow them and did you put feed down etc...

Garden plot, used a treatment of Miracle-Gro once the sets were planted and twice afterwards the first two or three weeks. I always use cages (home made) to keep the plants upright.

Drinking second cup of coffee. 38 degrees with clear skies this morning. Heading to 68 with sun and possibility of rain this evening. Perfect fall weather yesterday. Going to my mothers today. Need to start putting her patio stuff away for the winter. Kind of a shame with the weather we have in forecast this week. But it's better than waiting until it snows.
Good Morning all.

44 headed to 74 & sunny. Forecast says we'll have some high 70's low 80's this week.

Yesterday was a perfect fall day here too. trees are bursting with color, air is crisp but not cold, no humidity, veryfew bugs. I spent a couple hours out stomping in the deep puckybrush putting up more "no tresspassing signs" and it was awesome.

I thought I was going to help my neighbor, they run a horse motel, load some donkeys this morning that were dropped off last night. But they will not be ready before I need to leave for work. Looks like the Harleys will get used for commuting this week!

Be well all,
David

40 this morning, high in the 60's today then mid-upper 70's most of the week.
Gotta take my wife to her lung specialist today, doctors don't like going to doctors so I have to drag her! Her breathing has deteriorated a lot in the last 6 months or so, she has a COPD like condition caused by massive radiation treatments for Hodgkins disease 30+ years ago. She asked her specialist what was next, he said;"I don't know, most people that have had that much radiation were dead 10-15 years ago!" I guess we'll see.

Goodness gracious Randy, I hope everything goes well for you both.

Good morning from another sunny day in Scotland surprisingly! Very nippy though, will have to get my hat and gloves out soon, can you believe that?

I am sincerely sorry you both have to deal with the ordeal and wish you the best. It's so difficult to come up with the proper words when someone is coping with a major medical condition. Again, I am sorry.

Good morning! We wish the best for your wife Randy.

75 before sunrise heading to the high 80s, partly cloudy - It feels hot but I'm still heading to the snake/jogging trail to wake up.

The compass rose must be lined with white to define it's edges. Another setback step. I bought 60 white blocks from HD that I will cut into 3rds for the 1.5" outline. This step was the wife's idea. between TBN's (to add a compass rose into the paver project) idea and hers this will be a lifelong project. (or at least a 6mo delay)
Looks like I'll have to wait till January for some real relief. Hopefully Ron will bring cool temps and get this project on overdrive.

The HF tile/paver saw is still zipping away but I'm glad I bought the extended warranty on this extended project.

Cloudy and chance of showers, high of 48F. Plan is to take off the backhoe and put on the box blade and will grade our private road. It's still in better shape than the government portion.
Neighbor's wife told me yesterday her husband died Thursday of cancer. Didn't know them that well, they moved here about 1 ½ year ago as he wanted to live in a peaceful and quiet area. Only saw him once in awhile but we would chat for 5-10 minute. Think he was only about 55-56 years old.

1055....will dispense with the "good" and just say mornin'

Lazy day- not sure what the weather is going to do. should be warm but looks like it can't decide on weather the sun will be out.

Another cup of coffee or two should be enough to let the weather make up its mind.

Randy- prayers for you guys

Mousefield...made me sad to learn of the death of your neighbor...I recall you told us about him sooner. I attended a funeral service Saturday for a man I worked with back in the mid to late 80's, have not seen him for close to 20 years but by chance I saw his death listed in the news...made me sad, he was a good guy and only 49 years old.

Randy,

Just said a quick prayer for your wife sir.

I did get to help load the donkeys this morning... Cutest little democrats I'd ever seen... :D

Too young, far too young.

His family will be in my prayers tonight.

I'm very sorry for the ordeal you're going through Randy. Three years ago my wife had similar symptoms and had testing done for the cause. Her aortic valve was failing due to radiation therapy 24 years ago, for Hodgkins. Her valve replacement went well but the radiation also affected the capillaries in her chest and when an infection set in, she had to have her sternum removed. It was a long and angry road. She thought she had conquered the disease decades ago only for the treatment to come back and do this, almost like it was still there.

I hope there is something that can be done which will bring many more years of happiness. I asked Becky's doctor if I could get another 300,000 miles out of her and he said there's a very good chance!

Thanks, sorry for your ordeal. Lynn has the cilia loss that keeps the mucus from expectorating correctly, caused by the radiation. She has a lot of trouble with any upper respiratory problems.
