Drew don't be so fast a little birdie told me by the first weekend of the new year you might be shoveling snow to
you can bet your Buppies on that...
I like snow but so often we get the sleet and ice.
Then you drive safely through it, like you have plenty of experience doing so,
and you come across someone in a ditch. I've usually had a truck or a suburban with a big hitch
and towing ropes, so pulling someone out isn't all that hard. Did plenty of that as a volunteer fireman.
It's the other people on the road that will come plowing into me that worries me.
I could legitimately drive on by saying health reasons or whatever, but not likely.
Particularly damsels in distress...
so drive carefully out there, there's another system coming North now, right out of the Gulf where it usually comes from,
bringing that moisture North for all good reasons. Would get pretty dusty if it didn't...
But the Gulf seems to be where the weather patterns pick up the moisture and then head about forty five degrees Northeast with it, up through New England and then
to Newfoundland and whatever is after that. I watch the national radar pretty regularly and the storms seem to pop up in SouthEast Texas and then head Eastwards sucking up moisture from the Gulf like a big water vac. The same pattern keeps repeating itself.
Seems to be all about timing and the temperature. The moisture is coming, no stopping that, nor usually do you want to, but the real issue is whether you are above or below freezing when it comes. One thing for sure, every child wants it to snow. Even big kids...
