The yellow eggplant is on the menu today. cut into coins and air fried exactly the same as the okra, (380 for 15 min.) turned out delicious and crunchy.
Batter - chickpea flour and soy milk
Coating - cornmeal, WW flour, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper.
We did a 4 minute one take cooking video for the WFPB group. (y)
No oil at all was necessary because we preheated the air fryer.

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 3.4C. It's mostly sunny with a gentle breeze and it's currently 15.1C. No rain predicted until Thursday and Friday when the Bureau of Many Guesses say around 10mm each day.

daugen: Wagtail, "council rate" is property tax on your home? Head tax? Income tax? I guess that that is what you'd call it. You can pay it annually with a slight discount or quarterly.

Take care all.

Consider a timer for your drip system.
I have been eyeballing timers for a while. I would have to do the 'piece together' electric solenoid type. The problem is the number of zones. We have 14 "zones" to control, each one having different lengths of time to run (Well a couple are the same amount of time). Then 1/2 of the zones are fed from a different source, so 2 separate controllers.

The last time that I seriously researched, the cost is approaching $800-1K.....
I look at it this way, it makes me get outside, walk a little bit, and I'm "saving money"....

Probably some day.....

Productive day--- all irrigation done for a few days, some progress on the Jeep, and grilled a delicious meal on the grill. The oldest grandson said it was the best steak he ever had.... (I think he's buttering me up for something)...

I did tell the wifey that she out did herself with the blueberry cheesecake pie.... and I'm not looking for brownie points.... it was just too delicious!

Time to relax. ......wish I had a hot tub.....
I showed Drew's setup to the wifey..... she said ok, but it would have to be enclosed in a glass sunroom attached to the house.....
THAT is not going to happen.....

Everyone have a great evening!

I get mine taken out fortnightly, Direct Debit. About $90 but I am well in credit at present. I pay close to the same as you Wagtail.

Mostly, Needle went without a hitch. I got to see the screen while they put the needle in so could see it all. It contained anesthetic as well so no pain at all. My shoulder still makes cracking noises but the torn bit and bursor pain has eased for now. Cortisone may take a couple of weeks. Hope it works better than last time 3 years ago. Bursor can be removed if all else fails.

73 and muggy, after a light shower. Going to 83.

Kyle, sorry about your family's threat against it. Sounds like you are taking smart steps. Glad you got to the football game. Prayers said.

Alien, hope your shoulder is better.

LS, all that hard work in the yard is really nice!

Hopefully, the little bit of rain has settled the dust, so I can mow today.

good morning all
.37 inches of rain last night and about to start coming down heavier all day.
going to be an inside day

   / Good morning!!!! #155,436
59° now and still raining, we got 1.25” yesterday. The prediction for today is another 1+ inches. 👍

No plans for today just take it as it comes.

Enjoy your day everyone

   / Good morning!!!! #155,437
raining pretty hard right now and looks like lots more to come, we might get a couple of inches
and the power went out for two minutes and I was annoyed to sit in a perfectly dark room with a non functional UPS on computer.
Could be operator error but doubt it, maybe battery has given up. Cyberpower 750, any other brands recommended?

takes forevvvvvverrrr to get modem and internet back up.
so I cheated...fired up the Verizon hockey puck which I still have, and bingo, several minutes before the router lights all came on, I was back in business.

need to go turn the hot tub back on, that likely turned off also. Maybe not. Of course that means a little dunk...
not like I intend to do much today.
hmmm maybe I ought to leave a flashlight in the basement.

   / Good morning!!!! #155,438
btw pretty sure there is a replaceable battery in UPS. These things never seem to last very long for me.

72 outside this AM, heading to lower 80's. With some rain chances.

Not much movement on my projects, just waiting on other people to do their jobs. Insurance claim still open from March, my contractor decided to quit his company, so I may need to start that process over again.

This past weekend I managed to get 7 miles of yard work done on Saturday. I started at 8AM and finished up around 6PM. Most of the miles were weed whacking the fence lines. That was a new personal best. Yesterday being outside again most of the day I only managed about 3 miles of walking around.

Also this past weekend I managed to get another side off the Milk House. Made a dump run too. The fun part was discovery of the hornets home base on planet earth.

Hope all are doing well, those ailing, I hope you get better soon.

Morning all, Rain has finally started.

Today is son's birthday

Mostly - happy birthday to stepdaughter

My care package from Paul, delivered by Drew was great for lunch yesterday and will be dinner tonight.
Home made pulled pork from Paul and veggies from Drew. Really made my day.

Wife decided to turn down AC, so I woke up real early sweating, she told me to save electricity, but she leaves every light on in the house and the tv, even when she goes out.....

Was being watched last night. I think I might be a bit too big for this one to take on though.
