Good Evening
High today was 54, under clear skies.

Drew, in Bedminster township, our population density is 159 per sq mi., much less than the average for the county, even though we have a few townhouse developments.

Didn’t get a lot done today, grandson came to visit a couple of times, tinkered in the shop with tire pressure gauges again, I got a new Jaco inflator gauge with a digital display that matched my calibration gauge from 2 to 150 psi.
Made some more clamps for the welding table out of harbor freight clamps, vicegrip style this time.

Highlight of the day was getting Girl Scout cookies from my neighbor’s daughter. Best excuse to buy cookies that I’ve come up with in a long time.

Yup...whike our pickup was in for recall dealer gave us loner pickup,4 days later after fueling loaner pickup wouldn't start engine light was on,call dealer said tighten gas cap all good after that. guess can't use rag anymore for gas cap like the good old days. ;)

Every time I saw a car with a rag in the filler neck, all I could think was Molotov cocktail on wheels.

Good morning! I slept really good and If I don't look at the clock to see how early it is I feel very rested.
50˚F SW wind heading to the mid 70s with sunny skies.

I get to see how the rest of the world fights the morning traffic today as I need to take the Kia in for a free oil change this morning. I had to make an appointment 2 weeks ago and this was the closest date.

A Land man called yesterday and Mom will be having a pipeline laid across her land. It will run from west Texas to Katy Texas. They will start surveying soon and then the negotiating will then start. It reminds me of buying a car - never a good experience. They have the threat of eminent domaine so it's not really fair but we all use petroleum products and the pipeline has to be laid somewhere. I forgot to ask him what will be flowing in the pipeline - but does it really matter, it all flows and either explodes or leave an environmental mess if ruptured.

Just had to break up a fight between 2 male wallabies. I watched for a while thinking one would give in, but no. I have to say it is the best fight I have ever seen. Flying through the air and slam into the other and then both would go sprawling. This went on for 10 minutes and likely was going for a while before I spotted them as I came in from the barn. I was worried one or both would be torn open so hopped on the scooter and raced down the paddock blaring the horn. They both went in different directions probably to take it up another time.

33° right now...high in the mid-40's... don't get complacent though...10 day forecast drops down to the 20's again, then another warm up.

Training is done, except for an online test

29 and crystal clear, going to 67.

Was so windy yesterday, it was hard to enjoy the 60+ day. LS, don't see how you handle those frequent high wind days you've talked about.

Buppies, haven't seen any bears out yet here...I've been bringing in the feeders every night due to the 3 raccoons that come around. I've tempted the snow by moving my generator back into the shed yesterday.

Alien, I've seen some wild animals fight...not sure I'd want to get in the middle...glad your guys gave up.

Roy, good luck on your test.

Well, out favorite snowboarder came in 4th in the olympics, and is retiring...has already won golds over the last 4 olympics and has his own snowboard brand, so he'll be okay. 🏂

24 outside this AM, heading to mid 60's.

I washed the wife's truck, so bad weather is imminent.

All this talk of population got me curious, my county lists 100 people per square mile. The county has an interesting map though with graphics showing the big density blob in the middle of the county, where it should be. LOL. They also had some nice projections which show the rapid increase in people for the next 20 years. LOL. Looking closely at that, they seemed to have shorted themselves in the 2020 timeframe.

Lost electricity for most of the day yesterday. Seems a construction truck (how fitting) took out a power pole a few miles up the road. That's a regular occurrence of late. Bad driving skills and I mean the poles take some bad luck to hit them. The roads are pretty wide open and straight in that stretch.

Need to go get my traps back from my neighbor who borrowed them a few weeks ago. Smells like skunk around the barn, and looks like a ground hog is active around a horse run in. Sure wish people would return things in a timely fashion.

Not much else on the do list for today, or the weekend. I put all construction and renovations on hold, both in thoughts and in actions. Still thinking about the 5 year plan.

Hope all have a great weekend, be safe and hope all ailing are getting better.

Morning all 27 going up to 50? waiting for the sun.

Thomas, I am full time and work 8-10, seems I am part time too
Is job at least giving you any benefits if you need them?

We have about 3000 residents in my town, all piled down by the river.
But I am surprised how many houses are near me. Used to not be able to see lights at night, so many Ash trees have come down it looks like a light show on all the hillsides.

Good luck on the test Roy

Stay safe and be well,
I have been to LA many times and worked east of their for a long time.
One of my least favorite places in the US, but it does have some cool beaches and shore towns.
The area around Graumans theater used to be run down and dangerous at night back in the late 80's
Now it has a huge up scale mall and expensive apartments.
My son was about 2 in this picture.

Good morning, low temp is 24 and high to 36°F. Wind SSE 11 mph. Snow. They are talking 5 today and another 4 tonight. Ought to be interesting.

Eric, if my forefathers hadn't emigrated here from Ireland in the mid 1800s, you wouldn't be reading this. 🤣

Population density of Parry Sound District is 13/sq mile.
Machar Township is 71.15 sq miles and there are 805 people here. The numbers are slowly going down. Closest town and location of the post office is South River, pop. 1114
The less people, the less trouble.Suits me just fine.
Land taxes so far are pretty reasonable. I pay around $1,000.oo/year for a 1456 sq foot house on 5 acres. Road is gravel ditched on both sides, for services we have hydro electric and phone IF you want a land line.
My road is so wide that you can pass two cars if both are careful, shoulders in summer are kind of soft. It is only about 1/2 mile long. When I come home with the big truck, I take the whole road.
I have 2 wells, one dug (26') the other drilled (176'). The water coming out of the drilled well is hard as nails. We have a water softener.

I'm going to slip into Sundridge today and see if I can get my second poke for alligatoritus. When I got my first shot I was told the Health Unit would contact me for the second shot and I haven't heard a word from them since last May when they contacted me about the first. Which I got.

Have a safe day all

Job does offer good health insurance and dental which I had to decline because golden insurance I get from retiring outstanding, than 2 weeks off year plus holidays, darn good prices on all meat products, obly down fall I can only make so much year or I will be fine or chance losing SS check.

Back in 60's in 10 sq. miles there were more cows than people where we lived.

Morning all!
Woke up to 28 with snow on the driveway and walk. Not enough to clean up just makes a mess. Looks like it will be 46ish here today.
My town is 250 per mile with a total pop of 8150. We have 32 square miles of land. Houses are on 1 acre minimum lots.
I'm lucky that I border 2 -100 acre parcels that have no dwellings.
We also have a large State forest close by.
Need to go to town hall today to get tax rebates for the car we sold. Might go out for lunch while out and about. Nothing else in the plans.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Good morning! 31° now. Supposed to get to maybe 49° later and rain. Cool down this weekend, then get warm again next week.

We have a fair amount of the ice left from last weeks storm. The powder snow that fell after the ice is largely gone.

Been a fairly quiet week, so not much to type.

Everyone stay safe out that and have a great weekend
