snow forecast has now crept up to 3 to 5 inches for tomorrow. That should qualify for the National Guard...
Went outside to get the mail, check on things, came back in shivering.
4 to 6 inches of snow predicted for middle Delaware, but less over by the Chesapeake Bay.

Made it to 21 deg today did a little shopping and making a nice vegetable beef soup for tonight's dinner.

Rip great news I'm sure your wife will feel much better in her own home.

Riptides, good news.
Got PTO cut to proper length. But got cold because no sun came out while I was outside.
Only need to put oil in tank and chippers is ready to use.

Actually will be a couple surgeries. He's going to consult with another dr first. He's one of only about 50 in country that does this surgery.

When you've been stuck in a hospital for a long time, the idea of going home is like
the vision of an oasis to a parched man. And there always seem to be delays, and the paperwork is never ready
on time.Whenever they say they will get you out, add at least two hours.

My wife was in the hospital dozens of times for hundreds of days.
My favorite was we'll have you out of here shortly.
And my wife and I would both roll our eyes because their idea of a short time was sure not what ours was.
Like a horse champing at the bit. We both liked to cook so I had to sneak a lot of somewhat illegal food in to her.
Of course Riptides can get a little extra on his forays to bring back to the room.
Hospitals are great places to get out of. Even better to stay out of but we often don't have a lot of say about that.

About to fire up the propane grill and do a little grilling for dinner. Need to give it some extra time just to heat up.

Elk has a different taste then deer and to me it isn't a strong taste. Elk are browsers and eat the same grasses that beef eat. To me elk taste the best of the wild meat I have eaten. I had a lot deer growing up, also have eaten moose and antelope.

I think that elk is a lot like beef as far as the texture of the meat. We fix it just like we do beef.

If you even have a chance to have some I think that you would like it.

This will be the first night with the low above zero in about two weeks. It'll drop to 5 degrees, but that's a lot nicer than the minus 28 I woke up to this morning...
