Good morning, expecting more rain all day today, although it would be petty to complain again about our lost summer after all the flooding in Texas and what Irma is doing.
Thanks to all who made good suggestions on what to do with the concrete - and for those less practical answers that were a good laugh.
farmer, will you need to uprate the ventilation vans if you have windows in the barn that catch the sun, or will you be adding value by producing roasted chicken ?
In between the showers yesterday I checked out how my welding table is doing after a year of standing outside in the wet. The top is minimalist, with a couple of T shaped slats that I can slide to where I need support in the middle and two flat plates at each end which are fastened to the frame by countersunk machine screws. Painting these wasn't an option as they need to conduct a hefty current, so instead I had wiped them over with ACF-50 and hoped for the best. I heard it was good stuff, but even so was pleasantly surprised to take out the screws, turn the plates over and find hardly a trace of rust on the bare metal beneath.
The curious side in me now wants to only wipe one side with ACF-50 and try the other side with something else for comparison, but another part of my brain is telling me I've found something that works well, takes less than a minute to apply and leaves no mess, so
just use it. Contentment is a wonderful feeling and seems to be much more plentiful the older I get.
