Good morning!!!!

.37” of rain so far, 70 at daybreak about 80 now. Grandson has a ballgame if it’s not rained out.
And as I was typing my daughter texted to tell me it’s cancelled.
Not much going on today, garage clean up finale tomorrow.
A friend that recently sold his small chain of pharmacies called me last week, he’s back from his summer house in Vermont and he’s bored. So he’s coming over to help. I suspect that there will be as much BS as work.

For smaller tires I use the bungee cord method. Lots of tire places use air tank bead sealers. Wonder if they sell big ones for tire tractors?

What is the bungee cord method?

Home Depot is discontinuing EGO mowers. There are clearance models available about $50 off. for example the 21" Reg $449 on sale for $399. They never go on sale. Lowes will be selling EGO now.
Not all Home Depots have stock available so check before you drive too far. The one in Georgetown had two left.

Jack up the tractor if wheel is still mounted and place bungee cords around center of tire so the sides bow out to rim.
Bigger tire and start looking at tie downs with ratchets to do the same. never tried it on a really big tire though, imagine it would be difficult as sidewall to width percent decreases.

do you mean a ratchet strap? Most bungee cords aren't very strong from my experience

Toppop, rain held off til later in the day. I never open my sunroof anyway...;)

I use a rope tied around the center of the tire, then slide a long screwdriver under the rope and twist until the sidewalls are pushed out.

Me too, except I use something bigger than a screwdriver.

Achieved my goal for the day

The screwdriver I use is for removing lower radiator hoses so it’s about twenty inches long. If the tire is on the tractor I just slide away far enough to clear the tractor.

Nice work on your storage unit.

58F and cloudy @ 20:15. Saw the sun peek though several times today but mostly it just stayed cloudy and cool.

Now they are calling for 50% chance of rain tomorrow afternoon ... :confused2:

Picked up Menards order then swung by TSC for nyjer seed and grabbed a tube feeder as well. Noticed they had Boyer Smoothies which I love so I grabbed four 4-packs of those ... because why not ?

After got unloaded at the house I ran back out to pick up the pet store order (wet cat food, cat litter, and of course: treats) ... but before I did that, I ran over near Kent to have a look at a piece of equipment ... and look what followed me home :

It needs some TLC, a couple of new tires, and new deflector chute ... but the bearings and driveline seems pretty solid ...

Just in time for the fall festivities ...

Hope everyone had a great day.

In the mean time, I'll take another lap around the house and adjust my hose lays and see what else I can move under cover. And with all the wind we've had over the past few days, give the tarps over the wood piles another look, too.

Trucker/neighbor said he'd try to make time this "weekend" (his weekend, which rotate) to look at the fire truck. Now's the time...

I wonder if they make a device, kind of like an indoor fire sprinkler, that has a small piece of meltable plastic, that keeps it closed...Something like a water sprinkler you could put out at the end of a long hose, away from the house. Leave the hose pressured up, and if the fire touches it, it starts spraying.

On my way to the dermatologist this morning, where two zaps from his liquid nitrogen to my face sure woke me up...I got behind a suv with a
custom inscription on the back window, which I think several of you will either appreciate or get annoyed by...
I'm going to have to paraphrase this...
This vehicle driven by totally exhausted autism Dad
My initial reaction was not positive, thinking why not say something positive
like My autistic child is absolutely wonderful, or something to that effect...
But then I thought about it some more, I "get it" for sure about his reality,
though no one not in the midst of this unique and intensive caring really gets it.
So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and wished him well.

I am...that exhausted dad, but I can only blame about 5-10% of my sleep loss to her. These days, I'm having trouble getting 6 hours of sleep, mainly due to BPH.

Cab tractor shopping....I could dream about that all day.

Drew, I have liquid nitrogen dewars at work. I need to hit a few spots on my arm.

LS - starting to get thin on top.
Ron - will buy the BX, but leaving it there to do work for her for awhile.
Buppies - good news on neg test.
Roy - I’ve read new tractors are scarce in some areas.
Rip, farmer, Jay - still mia
Penn- like watching the combines.
Txdon- only a 150 yo building might make straighter line.

Another long day, getting dark when I left work. Some rain on way home, but none here yet.
Eat, pay a couple bills, catch up on GM and it’s 930 already.

Got yankee game on.

Good evening all. 48F for the start, partly cloudy, windy. Windy day again today, sly cleared off, and high temp was 81F. Warmer tomorrow then cold front comes through. Not enough rain in 10-day to forecast any amounts :( Bike ride later in morning because of the cold start, then weed eat and nap. Could not handle the "debate" :mur:
Covid update: Cooke 461 confirmed cases, 30 active cases, Montague 187 confirmed cases, 16 active cases, Grayson 1891 confirmed cases, 53 active cases.
Kyle, neat b-day party, good to hear middle daughter handled well. Please wish her happy birthday for me. When I have not played much like this year, I will use tees to hit off from until consistency improves
Roy, hope something turns up soon
Drew jealous of your rain, hope the dermatologist finds nothing new.
Buppies good to hear negative report.
Billy good you got mowing done, is interesting how tastes change.
Drew that is a riding friend's jersey, he got it at the Spam museum, probably paid 60-70$ for it
Ron nice flower pic, when Scooter was chasing squirrels, he provided hours of entertainment to us and squirrels.
Don glad you got such a nice morning to Cedarcide.
Ken hope you can get stump burned
Ted too bad it won't decide to rain. Glad the neighbor's service is done. Have fun with tires
Buppies, hope employee keeps his guard up.
PJ nice to get more rain.
RNG hope the wind stays low and firefighters get containment. Saw on news more guys headed their way from Texas
RS hope you have some inside work
David good luck with puppy.
Drew glad you wished him well, perhaps some rest as well.
Randy hopefully the small talk will be entertaining and informative
David glad you accomplished your goal.
RS ok I'll bite, what is it, a leaf blower?
Dennis makes for long day at work and short day at home.
prayers for all, especially Drew/move, Jay/Peg, Kyle's daughter, Mike, RNG/fire and Country.

It never worked for me, but I used ratchet straps. In my experience, it just forces the beads more into the center, when they really need to move closer to the rim walls.

Tees are a great idea, especially like your ideology on them....plus, it would slow the kids hitting balls to every 5 seconds rather than every 2 seconds.
