MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !

Good morning. No snow.... had a few flurries last night, but too warm to stick. A chance of some showers today. North of here, much more snow.
The daughter will run into a few spots of snow in the higher elevations on the trip down.

Had a great evening catching up with the BIL and SIL, they are really excited.... the secret is still intact! MIL is going to be really surprised.

Had “ hoagies “ or sub sandwiches ( depending on where you are from), veggie trays, and cookies of course! Son made drinks he calls “ fireball cider “.
It is warm apple cider, a couple shots of fireball whiskey (cinnamon flavored), a squirt of lemon juice, and small cubes of apples. Man, was that good!

Our sincere wishes go to all of you for a very Merry Christmas! Prayers for all.

Good morning, it's 19° this morning with 2 inches of new snow. We have about 15 inches on the ground now. Today will be in the 30's with a chance of snow showers off and on.

We are going up to a neighbors house for dinner later today. In a day or two we are going down to SLC to have a belated Christmas with the daughter and grandsons.

Still looking in and following a long, just don't have much to add. Hope everyone that's feeling poorly gets well soon.

I also hope and wish that everyone has a very Marry Christmas and enjoys family and friends.

Good morning everyone and merry Christmas, Hanukah, and Kwanza wishes for all.

I hope that everyone’s holiday expectations are exceeded; and that everyone traveling stays safe and sound.

I spent yesterday putting the R-1”s on the tractor and fiddling around with a new holiday toy, my new Fitbit tracking sports watch to replace the one that I destroyed. Santa was good to me this year. An early delivery of a plugin tractor seat warmer, the Fitbit, camera stuff for my Olympus TG6, and a solar powered trickle charger/maintainer for the tractor.

A mixed sun/clouds 18ºF for today's low temperature; 28ºF presently with similar conditions; and I anticipate a mostly sunny afternoon with temperatures in the mid30ºF’s. A great day to smoke a boneless leg of lamb and bake rosemary encrusted potatoes in my Big Green Egg; and maybe grill the asparagus.

BEF- I hope that you continue to improve.

Drew- I am happy that you are posting +’s about your ear/hearing challenges. I hope that you can manage some nap time today.

Today/this week many are able to freely celebrate their holiday traditions with family and friends, sheltered from the elements, safe and secure thanks to our military (and allies), police and fire personnel and first responders, surrounded with food and gifts I think about the many more “have nots” worldwide who are not as fortunate; barely surviving.

Now that Christmas is almost over our thoughts go to New Years Eve. In consideration of the old people in our town, the town will have the New Years Eve countdown in the town square Dec. 31st at 1200pm NOON! I won't have to think of staying up late or driving home in the dark with drunks. :thumbsup:

Don it痴 a shame that when we drive on the roads today we need to contend with the drunks, druggies, and people sending texts while driving. You can be the best driver there is and still be taken out while driving by those who have no regard for life at all. We have a tendency to stay home on 殿mateur nights and we make our party at home, seems to be a lot safer that way.

Good evening all. Merry Christmas to all. 44F this morning, clear, light breeze. Moderate wind today with somewhat brisk gusts, sky clear, and high temp of 70F. slow start this morning, mostly food prep, we made the chicken cordon bleu, and a tart cherry pie. 5 of us had Christmas dinner, with plenty of leftovers to bring home Presents were exchanged, I got the log splitter posted earlier, biking clothes, bike shop gift card and stainless sear plates for the grill. Did sneak a late nap in. Hope everyone got to be with family and friends as planned.
Drew glad ear is improving. Thanks for the nap suggestion.

Sounds like nice Christmas celebrations and worship by many of you. We still have family here, although about half have returned home, and others leave today.

We may be out of the skunk business, now. My youngest son and GF left for New York last night (to avoid the worst traffic they drive at night) and saw the white
skunk dead on the road a couple of hundred yards from our driveway. I'll still be going on SP (skunk patrol) a few mornings each week.

Don...noon...cheating a little? Or, I guess you can be celebrating what is New Years at midnight in Kyrgyzstan.

Good morning all. Without the younger generations around, it is eerily quiet this morning compared to the last few days. Although it is a great pleasure to have them around, even Max will appreciate a day to chill out and recover before the weekend's family get together.

Apart from emergency services, almost all workers will still be at home today in this country, as it is still very much a holiday day for us, traditionally a time to enjoy all sorts of sports. We often see lots of footpath walkers too on Boxing day. Maybe not so many this time, the rain doesn't look like stopping for a long while and a not so benign wind is gusting every which way.

temp here is 28°F and going to a high of 34. Wind E 17 mph. Freezing rain warning in effect.

I was going to start tearing down the lean-to that is falling down on one corner. It ain't gonna happen in freezing rain, that is for sure. It will be dryer tomorrow, I'll start then, maybe.

So I guess today will be an energy conservation day.
