Good morning!!!!

Good morning. Was just about to sit down in front of the laptop when I realised there was something wet and brown on the seat. I looked at the dog - and he looked at me. Turned out to only be squished olives !

Sometimes too easy to jump to conclusions and that was one of the points that came out in a tv program we watched last night. Actress Miriam Margolyes (possibly best known for Harry Potter films)has been travelling around various states in an attempt to give some understanding to the people outside America as to why Donald Trump was elected. This last of the series ended in Texas - where were y'all ? She suggested Zena Stephens, the sheriff of Jefferson county, could make a good president next time around.

Ed, best thing you can do for you mum is to keep letting her know she is loved.

27 going to 46.
Had to fire up the woodstove last night.

Ed, hope your mom is doing better.

Don, sorry your real estate value took a tumble when the turtle gained a bit of color. We have similar looking painted, red-eared and pond sliders. But it is odd how yours got the white tint with only red clay...maybe dried algae.

Spent much of yesterday working on taxes for the family's farm/LLC... a couple of unusual circumstances...I've been reading IRS Publications until I'm cross-eyed, and other info. I just know I can figure it out.

At least I'm not sick. Sorry some of you guys are. Hope you get better soon.

5 A.M., the coldest part of the day. -10 and supposed to reach a high of 15 above with 40 % chance of flurries.

RoyJackson, most chores having to deal with winter I can handle, but chopping ice will 'do in' both of my shoulders right now. Oxycontin wont kill the pain either. I've tried it. Drs up here don't like to prescribe anything stronger than Tylenol and it don't work. So I get the pain killers elsewhere and only take them at night so I can sleep.

I watched the you tube video about the blizzard of '49 in Wyoming last night. If that happened here I don't think we would survive.

Have a safe day all,

Good morning all, 32 this morning going to 45 and becoming sunny. Went out to the shop to build a rack for my chisels and picked up a block plane and started restoring that. Never even thought of the chisels. Enjoyed my self though. Got the sole about half way to flat. Mom has been living with us for 3 1/2 mounts, this thing started a couple weeks before she moved back in with us. Wife has a hard time with mom's way of saying things but bless her heart she dotes on her and is always looking for ways to bless mom. I have a wonderful wife.

Buppies, still praying.

Randy, Not forgetting you brother.

RIP, praying for you and your wife.

Have a great day. Ed

Sounds to me like your Mom calls a spade a spade and doesn't mess around with the politically 'correct' way of saying it.

Cooler day today, 28 now going up to 50 in sunshine.
Went to bed too early I was so tired from unloading the rv, and yet have been up since 2am. Well, read a little of my book and that was fine.

First I'm off to dermatologist for my every four month visit. After two skin melanomas, am pleased he takes no chances and gets me in fairly frequently.

Then back home to take the travel trailer to the dealer where I hope there won't be any surprises. These local folks have been there a long time and are well respected. Then home again to move some equipment around. I now have 42 feet of rv carport to fill up, that won't be hard...
Then I might get the orchard sprayer going and put down some dormant spray on both orchards. Really don't like putting anything in the sprayer while nights are still going below freezing but it's time to spray.

Ed, prayers for improving health for your Mom. Maybe some Ensure?

Hope all of you feeling poorly feel better. And watch that ice.

Enjoy the day all.

My wife was the same way with mom, she was better st times than I. I just regret that after 3 1/2 years of that, we only had 3 months together alone.

Randy, my wife and I have never been alone. She had 3 kids when we met and just before they left we took in her brother and now my mom. When we thought we were going to be alone we were checking out long term missions. Ed

29 outside right now. Lower 40's high. Next few days is warm up time.

Did not get outside with wife yesterday. All the emotions finally broke out full bore. I just let her go. She's been through a lot.

I hope all have a great day. Please be safe.

Prayers to all that need them.

And fluids for all those ailing. Seems like the flu bug is really kicking in from what I hear in our area.

Drinking second cup of coffee. 25° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 36° with some sun. Got my projects almost done. But noticed that master bath seems to leaking water from around floor. Not going to be a fun day repairs this. Both of our baths are on concrete floors. That may make the cleanup a little less of a mess.
Everyone seems to coming down with something. Makes me want to stay home and hibernate. Hopefully avoiding some of the possibility of getting something that will make me sick. But that will not happen. Off to Menards for a wax seal ring for toilet.
All those needing to feel better. Prayers. Special prayers for ED and his family.
Good Morning All.

What a day, not what I had planned, but....I called the local rv place about selling my Jayco travel trailer and he said fine, but the Raleigh show was in two weeks and I need it in here immediately and blah blah. So...for the last five hours I have totally unloaded an rv and cleaned the inside. Thankfully the outside was clean enough. They charge 650 bucks to make ready and clean the rv, they are getting a bargain with mine, it's clean already, so I didn't feel guilty at all not washing it. Maybe I can negotiate that charge down a little... Ron knows how much work this is/was. All that stuff crammed in the compartments. And worse, I forgot a coke in the fridge, it froze and exploded and leaked onto the kitchen floor. My bad and what a sticky mess and pain to clean up. Had to take all the fridge shelves out and wash them, but no loss other than my energy. Which is currently hovering around zero.
You may miss your trailer. But not the chores that come with ownership. My list is much shorter than it was when I had the motorhome. What do I miss. The warm sunny skies of the SW during the winter. But I could always fly or drive out there if I really needed that sun. Maybe next winter.

I made the mistake of doing a Google search for Actress Miriam Margolyes. Almost as bad as the Trojan batteries and Dicks Sporting Goods search.

Good morning! 30˚ what, did you forget to shave this morning Drew, I thought you had a deal with Texas.
wgnsprd, I may need to paint some turtles before I put it on the market to keep the value up. A couple hundred albino turtles would be better than an oil well.
I'm glad Ron Googled margolyes so I don't have to, never heard of her and did not see hear of her passing though town when she did her Texas series.

Good Morning!!!! 42F @ 4:45AM. Periods of rain. Thunder possible. High 47F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

Good luck with the trailer sale, Drew. With income tax refunds just round the corner and weather headed toward spring, you shouldn't have any trouble.

Hang in there, Rip, we're all pullin' for both of you!

Don, maybe that pale turtle shell has something to do with all that dry weather last year. Too much sun, or something baked onto the outside of the shell. Maybe if you can catch it, some time with your buffer and some polishing compound will have it looking good as new?

Don't know how you're getting all your "interesting" search results, Ron. All I see is a frumpy old gal and her many Hollywood friends, football teams, and guns'n'fishin' rods...

Maybe a half inch of rain in the last 24 hours, more due in today. Much colder, too, and up to two feet of snow just east of here up in the mountains. Hopefully the snow pack can catch up, as it's only 25% of normal and provides most of the water for us during the summer.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!
