Morning folks! gotta get moving. Coming home from a friends place last night, we came upon a wreck. Car had left the road, rolled a couple of times. Stopped and talked to one of the cops there. Nobody hurt!! All 4 people inside had walked away. He said all were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags had deployed, Those things really do work. He said he expected to find somebody dead, was very happy that all was ok. The car ended up on it's roof, up against a tree. The car was completely totaled.

Glad to hear that, but not as glad as the people in question are I'd imagine!

33 degrees here this morning going to be in the mid 40 degrees.

Good luck with the job Roy. Does that mean you will become a New Englander?

Maybe...but probably more like David's response:
He will probably become the token conservative in his VT neighborhood...

We (wife and I) are pretty enthusiastic, but I've had disappointments before so I'll just hold on until there's a decision.
Anyway, even if it doesn't pan out, we had a nice trip...wife got to see her daughter and sister. And, we got a bunch of the daughter's stuff out of the cellar!

Glad to hear things are progressing well. Always nice to clean the basement......

Mr. MossFlowerRoad reminded me of this thead...

It was 38ish when I got up. Had scrambled eggs from our chickens. Through in some chives that we grew. Yummy. I am finishing off the coffee waiting for it to warm up outside a bit.

Work has been crazy busy. I keep trying to take a day or half day on Friday and not being able to escape work. Yesterday was the same but at least I was able to hook up the mower to the tractor, fill up the tires, and mow for an hour or so. Gots to go out today and finish up on the JD.

Too much to do and not enough time....

Later,
Dan

Dan, Dan, Dan,

MossRoad is the guy with the Ventrak. I am MossFlowerWOODS with a Kioti... :confused2:

Somebody is having short term memory issues!
:D
Glad to have you here, there are some pretty good guys on this thread... They can't seem to kick me out yet...
Be well,
David

Good morning all. 67F going to 75F sunny and windy. Cold front tomorrow highs back in the 40'sF.
I let no smoke out yesterday so my hair is not frizzed or anything. I am not the fastest or best electrician in any stretch of the imagination (just cheap), hence the smart-alack remark about smoke :).
Wood splitting and chimney inspection on the agenda today will start burning fires very soon if the forecast is anywhere near accurate.
Roy good to hear progress on the job front, have never had anything take a month let alone a year to pan out.

Look Roy....you are going to meet with the Gen. Mgr....so in that regard...Think glass half full....Think positive, I am...I hope you believer this will happen when you sit down with the GM.....Wishing you the best...

I've already met with the GM...went quite well, actually. Since we couldn't get together after the plant tour and he does have a couple more questions...well, like the old saying "Don't count your chickens before they hatch" (which I have been known to do).
I'm cautiously optimistic...

OK - Good I'm glad you met with him and it went well....I know what you mean...don't want to get your hopes up...and don't forget...these things are not in our control...who knows what an interviewer is thinking, so you are doing all you can do...still get ready to move...I have a feeling you will get some good news. I just bought new tin foil and made a new hat....

Good morning! 66 to 82 partly cloudy. Got three more rows on the compass rose complete yesterday before being called away to assist the vet to pull a calf. I had the front job of holding the rope. The weather turns cold Sunday and Monday we will be in the 30's.

Don ~If you have not already tired this.... Another recipe....Have you ever tried seasoned and baked Chickpeas ? Yum ! The Mrs. and I eat them now all the time as a snack...we like them better than nuts of any kind...Google....baked chickpeas and look at all the recipes...we season ours with some chili powder, a touch o Cayenne powder, granulated garlic, a little cumin , onion powder and salt...then we bake them on 375 deg. for about 30 to 45 min stirring them around once in awhile..toward the last 15 min or so keep a close eye so they don't burn...We buy the chick peas in the can and drain and rinse them and while they are still damp we shake them around in a bowl with all of the seasoning..

I can't believe I didn't have to turn on the space heaters or light the wood stove last night. It stayed in the 60's F. But I will for sure be firing up the wood stove tonight and the next 7 or so nights as it's supposed to get 30F tonight and 20's F at night for the next 7 nights.

But at least I can (Hopefully let the fire go out during the day as it's supposed to hover in the 70's F all week.

I can't believe this weather. lol

Now if this darn wind would go away I would be even happier with the weather. It's been windy since Yesterday.

It's supposed to die down around 8:00 PM (Hopefully)

brin, I just saw a recipe like that yesterday when we were looking for a vegan honey roasted peanuts recipe for our 4 lb. peanut crop. The peanuts have too much fat in them for me but the chickpeas will work perfect. Thanks, will make some tomorrow!
