40F and cloudy. Bands of rain moving in today, steady rain tonight.

This year's registrations ($35) plus excise tax cost $148.60 for the '07 SportTrac and $432.35 for the '11 Dodge 1-ton.

Good luck with the dentist Larro. Your insurance rates sound high. The two vehicles above cost $645 per year, that's with the liability limits at the the minimum required for our $303/yr umbrella policy.

45 this morning and headed to 66 today. Can't complain nice weather. Hope power company gets out early to pull new service in. Electrician was done before lunch but inspector didn't come till mid afternoon yesterday so there wasn't enough time for the power company to redo their side.

Then it's back to the tractor. About 40 acres left to run a bushhog over this year and then move some cows and plant some wheat. It's a little late but better than never.

got some nice pics of a pretty new NH combine harvesting soybeans across the road.
Lot of dust, shows it's been dry, but probably good for the soybean harvesting. Amazing how clean that combine left the field, like it had been mowed with a lawn mower. Remarkable.

worked on the ditch out front, tried to mow up top a little with the Gravely rider but I kept sliding and I knew I would high center it, so I called it a day. Need to get up there with a brush cutter or something. Finally the guys from the paving company, or the GC anyway, showed up to clean up the driveway mess from paving.
Nice to see them, three weeks after the paver left...these guys are super busy trying to get as much work done while the nice weather lasts. It's been just beautiful here and no rain in the forecast.

got my fix of four shrubs planted, and I'll call it a day. After a long hot shower and maybe a movie to watch tonight.

chilly day tomorrow, high of 63. Better break out the longjohns...

48F and rain @ 19:30 ...

Just woke up and am enjoying my first cup of coffee ...

The woman just got home ... and brought 3 logs for the wood furnace with her ... :D

Hopefully this will be the last night we have to mess with this.

Furnace guy came by this morning ... says it's the (fan) controller board on the blower ... their local supplier didn't have it in stock but the main Rheem US warehouse did ... hope to have it by tomorrow or by Thursday at the latest.

$419 total ... which covers the board, installation, and two trips out here ... seems fairly reasonable to me. Glad it was available ... finding parts for something built in 1988 can be a crapshoot I'd imagine. This will also solve the problem with the furnace not sending a signal to the A/C unit to start ... so no more jumpering 12v to close the relay on that.

Probably do some more cleaning and straightening up in the shop tonight after I grab a shower.

Good Evening. 2225, clear, 57F on the way down to 53F tonight. Tomorrow night's low is forecast as 45F. Burrrr.

I was glad to learn my tire rotation was covered by the warranty. Didn't cost me anything. And it was only $121 to get the cavity filled, $35 cheaper than the last one I had done. But I was only in the office about 35 minutes. He told me to wait until the numbness wore off before I ate. But I was starving, so I snacked a little. I thought I had done good, but tonight when I brushed my teeth, I saw where I had bit my lip. Oh well, it didn't hurt.
