the movers have just left. They finished almost two hours ago and then on the way out buried the semi in the far ditch.
So here we are, four utterly exhausted guys, who all want to go home...I'd been up since 3:30am without a break.
so I suggested that I might try pulling him out with the Kubota, and the driver promptly agreed. Turns out I could not get in front of him; he had blocked the road and only left a deep ditch for me to cross. So, since he doesn't own the trailer..., he asked if I'd put the FEL under his bumper and push him hard. Which I did, in low range 4wd, and darned if that truck didn't move right on out. Boy were we all happy.
I'm so tired now I'm still wound; but boy that hot shower felt good.
I had to chuckle. Allied estimated 17K load weight, and Bekins estimated 14k and got the job.
the real weight?
25,000 pounds
good thing I got a guaranteed price.
it's all in and I don't care if the place is a disaster. I have the rest of my life to unpack...
and a big cheer for Kubota which saved the day.
now we had to make this a tractor story...
