Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #214,411
one thing for sure, I know it won't be as cold here as Arly's camp
you need antifreeze in your blood up there
bundle up

changed the ceiling ac filter with a new one, charcoal one I like.
only gets used in summer.
a dream for me would be to have a heat pump up top
those big diesel pushers across the way sure do, sucking up a lot of amps

I don't know VA electricity rates but if my rv sucks 25 amps for 20 hours per day
and those big guys suck 40 plus, curious how much money that turns out to be,
which clearly is built into the site rate here for what is a Harvest Host gone uptown at 65 a night.

of course staying anywhere in Northern VA suburbs for 65 a night
is a bit under average...
I was curious about how much more 50 amp service is over 30 amp.
so using a search query on a question into my friendly local data center,
am sure there must be one very close to here, I get this answer:

The average additional charge for 50-amp service at an RV campground, compared to 30-amp, is typically $3 to $10 per night. Some higher-end resorts or areas with high electricity costs may charge up to $15-$20 extra per night
I think most common is 5 bucks.

when I turn on one heater at 750W range, V drops to 118
turn the second on one, voltage drops to 113. Correction 112 right now.
which of course drives up amps and for sure will create more heat.

perhaps I should go give the converter box under the bed a sniff.
the one that burned up last time.
That sounds technohinky...lets see what she smells like
a bad odor speaks loudly
that's when I go get my IR heat gun

72 degrees inside with protesting wires I'm sure
34 here tonight, I put more water in the tank and unplugged the water line which
they originally asked me to do. Really not needed but easy to run on internal
water.
31 tonight at home

hope you all have a good evening

Good Tractor Morning,
Ct, 30 to start going to 46. Looks to be a cloudy day with possible breaks of sun around noon for an hour or two.

Flight home went well, about 3 1/2 hours approximately. Out transportation limo picked us up quickly, but lots of traffic coming out of NYC. We got home by 7:30 so a little time to go through 2 weeks of mail. The neighbor across the street made us some soup and fresh bread for supper, that was really appreciated. She takes care of our cat Meg for us. Super neighbor really, we do give her $20 per day but she feeds the cat twice a day and takes in all out mail and packages.

Good to be home, I’m hoping to get some radio time in today, but I really need a few hours working on leaves in the yard.

Hope all have a blessed day 🙏
Guessing you and Mrs. are denning up for the winter no long trips till mud season.

Great hike in the mountains yesterday with Della since it was yoga day for my wife. We got a light rain on us for the last few miles, and when I got to my truck, the temp display said 34F, so we barely missed snow. One guy I met when we got to the top of the mountain said it did snow on him earlier. We like snow. We flushed grouse in two places, which is a rare treat...and one huge buck courting a doe close to us.
Della encounter number of new moments this year, what was her best?

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.1C and it's presently 17.7C, partly cloudy with a gentle breeze.

Yesterday's grocery shopping took longer than expected as I had a 'list' from Church IOT make up a Christmas Hamper for those in need. It simply took a while to hunt down those items that I wouldn't normally get. Yes, it's early days but all of the items are canned or non-perishable.

The driver's medical test was quick... and then I waited for an hour before my Doctor could see me to fill/sign the form and then discuss the results from the 24hr BP test (normal :) ), the pharmaceutical assessment (no change) and next week's Endocrinologist appointment (in Launceston) = yes, I suppose that I should have some bloodwork done prior to that. 😐 Anyway, it was too late in the day to drop the driving form off at Tas Services. The same with the bloodwork.

So, that's what I'll be 'up to' today. Including a 1350 appointment with the "Foot Dude" for a diabetic pedicure.

That's about it, take care all.

I'm curious; what/who is a Church IOT?

All the best, Peter
...Church 'in order to'...

I could/should've used a comma after 'Church'. Sorry about using an acronym.

My Church provides a list of items and asks the parishioners to donate all/some of the items. Last year 'we' were able to provide over 60 hampers to families 'in need'.

Certainly there are a number of "struggling families/individuals" in the area, but there is no obvious homeless situation here in St Helens... that's because they're all living 'bush'. Families in tents or caravans. So sad.

Coffee is done brewing. 29° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 47° with mostly cloudy skies. Started oil changes on tractors. Found I did not enough oil for 2 tractors. Off to Menards to restock Rotella T4. Got both tractors and JD mower oil and filter changed. Still need to do Mule and Car. Grocery shopping this morning. Then see if I get another oil change done.
Helps to have a long beak.

great pic Ron
41 in Haymarket VA, ten degrees warmer than home
up at 3am, decided time to clean the rv for winterizing and I now smell
like Clorox but kitchen and bathroom ready for winter.
with that done, time for breakfast (no mess version) and read my book until 6:45am when it will be light enough to go dump the tanks And flush the tanks before winter.
a necessary but undesirable job.

then I sit and relax until about 9am and head North.
going to meet Dennis for an early lunch in Gettysburg. Sorry Frits can't do it

need to find a bottle in which to provide donations along the way, since I will have drained my black water system and don't want to use my toilet. I had one and offloaded it months back. Now is the time I need it...I'll rough it with the largest tupperware I packed. TMI... hmmm, actually I have an empty half gallon water bottle and my good pocket knife. Sounds like time to make a new one.
mmm, better watch for sharp edges...
