Good worship and good lunch today. Windy again. nothing planned for this afternoon, except stay out of the wind. Let snagglepuss in, she was on me awhile, now laying on the couch in the basement.

finished the install of the post vise this morning. Found in the scrap pile a couple of spacers that worked perfectly and the vise is very solid now

I’d be tempted to at least tack them together and to the post.

29F cloudy more on/off snow shower to midnight.

Been okay day....got roadside ditch another area leaves taken care off,towards end steady 10+mph wind in my favor but rain snow mix.

Plans for the evening watch little football early pillow time,boss call ask if I could meet him in Mass. at 7am for 7:30am meeting with others.

You all ever notice we become dry when sodamo is dry funny we are all connected in some way.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 6C and it's presently 18.3C. It's just gone mostly cloudy with a bit of a breeze, however no moisture is predicted.

There's not much happening today except for a Parish Council meeting @ 1700. I've got a wee bit of the 'sniffles' again... nothing bad, though.

Another afternoon spent working on the log haulin' trailer. Thought I'd get all the decking installed today, but process working with rough-cut white oak is slower than anticipated. Boards were roughed right to final size, since I no longer have a stationary jointer (or muscles) to pass 16 foot 2x8's in white oak, and I wasn't about to hand-joint this much lumber. Between the twist, cupping, and bending the boards did while drying in a solar kiln, it's been some work to get them flat and straight while screwing down. The process works fine, just slow and tedious.

If doing over again, I'd pick up an electric hand plane, chalk line them, and hand-joint them that way. As it is, I'm only having to joint about 6" of one end flat, removing enough of the cupping to fit into the C-channel that makes up the back end of the trailer.

It'll be interesting to have this trailer weighed when I'm done. Between the white oak, winch, and batteries, I'm putting a dent in payload capacity... not that the OEM PT yellow pine would've been all that light when freshly-installed.
