now that's really good stuff...

blustery as can be out there, ran some errands, leaves blowing everywhere
picked up some apples and pears, ate a pear when I got home, yum

going to bring rv solar panel inside to work on it where it's warm, no sense freezing out in the garage.
Decided if Wago connector fits, if wire is not too large, going to go that route and then use
some heat shrink on top.

not a very inviting day to be outside

Happy Veterans Day - thanks to all who served and serve.

69°F and .59 inches rain

Good conversation with Betstco re flail mower yesterday in spite of tech challenges getting them pics. Determined I should have received a Series 5 pto shaft, not the series 4. Replacement on the way. Apparently a manufacturer error as the flail comes bundled from them. Problem if’s when I asked about appropriate shear bolt and told them, no, 3/8 was too large. I did pickup a couple of M8 to try as I await new shaft.

Enjoyed nice smash burger at Happy Hour

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

Wind gusts to 40 MPH makes it feel really cold. The work blowing leaves away resulted in they are all back and more. Will wait until the wind is gone to do any further clean ups
Infusion went well and groceries picked up.
D has everything packed to be picked up to go in storage and all color coded. Problem is she forgot the color code. LOL

37F and sunny @ 13:00 ... which beats the predicted high for the day by one degree. Clinton Station reports the low there this morning was 22.4F.

Ten Day shows big warm up coming, high temps steadily rising over the coming days, high on Saturday supposed to be around 60F.

Probably get back to leaf clean up on Thursday/Friday while the sun is out, do the last mowing on the front.

Retrieved larger two wheeler from basement and got all the plants moved inside yesterday afternoon.

Relocated electrical box for well pump onto studs and removed board it was previously mounted on from the wall.

Trimmed out half moon opening for the pipe coming from the well on the next sheet of foam board.

After that just kicked back and watched the Packers and Eagles for the rest of the evening.

Back down to the utility room here in few to continue on with that project.

Hope everyone is having a decent Veterans Day ... (y)

Plowing all done on this beautiful day. No bugs! Took 2.5 hours and that included two half hour chin wags with two of my customers. 33°F right now. I can handle that.

Explained to one of my customer the basics of a 4 stroke internal combustion engine, you all know what the text book says. intake, compression, power and exhaust.
I call it, suck, squeeze, pop, fooey. It makes more sense to me that way. Ya gotta get the fooey out before you can get the intake/suck in. Hence the reason for my straight pipe.😃

It just now hit 40 deg. Decided again, with the cold wind, the leaves can wait..

spent more time looking for ever elusive pictures, around christmas of 2006, and early Nov 1997. got out my last laptop, not there either. Didn't expect it there, as it wasn't on the old win7 desktop machine that predates it. 2006 would be digital. For the 97 pics, think I was using 2 film cameras at the time. defininely not on one, as it dated the pics on the picture, and i have negatives for the complete roll that went before and after. That means taken on different camera....

Did find unopened box of 6 rolls of film, along with some unused rolls of APS camera film. showed my youngest son what a roll of film looked like, along with negatives. Foreign concept to kids in the digital age.
want to buy another solid state portable backup drive, but price high right now. About $50 more than last time I bought one.
My problem is, I hate to risk losing a pic when i back up, so I send them one way to the backup. Renamed pics (which I just renamed about 50K pics) get added, so there will be multiple copies of pic as the name changes. I would rather buy a new drive and do a new backup, than risk loosing pics. plus good to have multiple backups incase one drive becomes corrupt. I have backups on at least 3 drives right now., plus all the older computers that have their copies up till I moved on to a new computer. Well, all but the missing ones.....

another thing young folks, including mine, don't understand. How an engine works. When I was a teen, I was tearing down old lawnmower engines, replacing rings and valves, etc and getting them running again. My kids just were never interested in that sort of thing, too many video games available in their day. I hate video games. Growing up on a farm, you fixed or built everything yourself. Mom always kicked us kids outside during the day.
