Good morning. The low is 58 and going up to 79°F. Wind N 3 mph. Later this afternoon the wind will swing to the W 12 to 25 mph. 40% chance of showers.

We turned on the poor mans a/c yesterday evening for about three hours. Cooled the house down enough so I could get to sleep with out swimming in my own sweat.

Today is Sunday on my retired calendar. A day of rest.

Drew, back in the good old days when I drank, I never drank unless I was alone or with someone. I did have a drinking problem, 2 hands and only one mouth.

Nice chubby tree rat, Ron.

Have a safe day all

70.7F and very damp @ 07:00, DP 70F, HU 98%.

Dense Fog Warning issued … visibility down to 1/8 of a mile..

Heat Advisory still in effect through 20:00 today. Heat Index values up to 102F expected. Calling for an actual high temp of 90F.

Calling for similar tomorrow.

This year has set the record for the most humid year on the books.

Got tube feeders refilled just before storms hit yesterday, hopper feeder still had some in it.

On agenda for today:

Move more wood chips down, this time to cover the garden expansion on the east side where I sprayed glyphosate.

Have to relocate the PT lumber on the east edge before I do that though. That will require swapping out the Light Material bucket for the pallet forks.

Need to mark fence post locations again … before they disappear.

Menards order placed, just waiting on the text that it’s ready before heading out to pick it up.

Beyond that just see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Tuesday.

Drew I’m not sure if that’s true or not in my 20s and thirty’s drank some never by myself if chief estimator and I traveled together I did. Birthdays Hollys, mother father etc Christmas party what not. Getting tipsy in 20s by 30 did not like overhang and by 2002 wasn’t drinking at all diabetes diagnosed average 90 day A1C 575. I will drink now once in a blue moon vodka tonic drink of choice. Mother became an alcoholic quit cold turkey. Granddaddy drank himself to death did not want to leave town second wife forced him to. He died of alcohol poisoning before they were to move but a choice he made. He died at 88 always did it his way. Do I think you inherit this no choices choices

Buppies, yes, life choices, we are often our own worst enemy
I've made it to 75, hope I keep making decent decisions
made enough bad ones to learn by
100 percent of my family has died due to cancer, and I've had it, so with no expectations
of making it onto the cereal box (do they still do that?) I try to do something fun each day
and use common sense.

living by myself, very different outlook vs when married. So much less to worry about.
simply waiting to see how much longer I'm going to procrastinate and get a dog.
I want one at least half as cute as Sassy.

Good Morning
73° DP 72° this morning. I first thought it was foggy outside, but it was my windows all covered with condensation. High of 95 and no rain forecast.

Yesterday started with a visit from Drew and his motorhome, I think that we were able to check off everything on his list before lunchtime. He left me some tomatoes, including one huge one teatime sliced up for dinner, along with some NY Strips on the grill.

This was one tomato.

It was a good dinner, and the tomato tasted as good as it looked.

After Drew left, I cut out some vinyl lettering for a friend that runs a shop restoring antique airplanes, and dropped it off. That’s always a good excuse to check out what is in progress, there is always interesting stuff going on.

Today will be used up by a trip to Portland, ME to drop off a good client, her friend and 4 dogs. I thought about flying the little plane down to Philly, it does save time, but it would be so hot in it coming home after sitting in the sun for hours, that I decided to drive.
The reality is that it’s an hour drive each way, it takes me at least 20 minutes to drive to Doylestown and get the little plane out of the hangar, and then about 9 minutes to fly it to Philly. So there isn’t really any time savings, it just breaks the trip up, and it’s more fun to fly.
As usual, the hope is that I get back early enough to accomplish something this afternoon.

Thanks, don't remember what I paid for it but it was not very expensive. It was only made in Belgium in 1971 and 1972 and that apparently has turned it into something of a collectors item.
