Good morning!!!!

watched the youtube videos on replacing my rv water heater, not overly complicated but lots of connections.
Called local rv dealer I like and got a reasonable quote from them and set up for next week. Good service and I can wait
while they do it. She thought two hours max.

Would have been four hours for my local TBN tech crew but it's just too
busy a time for them for non emergency half day jobs that I want to use up their summer time for.

Plus primary reason is my desire to not have installation liability for a gas appliance that may malfunction
in the future on the rv's next owner. If only electric, no, do that myself or with friends.
if the next owner asphyxiates because I didn't use some industry approved sealant or who knows what,
or more likely a product failure that will get blamed on nonprofessional installation no matter what the truth was,
(plaintiff attorney demanding to know who Ken and Paul/Popgadget are, what their legal addresses are...etc)
well my umbrella liability policy is getting the willies just thinking about it.

The TBN crew will hopefully get together this summer when my friend brings his Kubota over to pull a dead tree down that's a
leaner on another. Need to cut medium size tree up and load in tractor bucket for moving.
that requires chain saws much larger than mine. Which I know all good TBN'ers have in likely multiples.
Landlord's mature sons will be there to help so good work party, should be done quickly.
TBN crew of such high caliber that landlords can't help but be impressed. ;)
And I will feed everyone a nice catered lunch if possible. Under the pergola...

69°F and .13 inches rain

Looks like yesterdays post didn’t go

Got the new LED lights installed in 2 bathrooms. Nice.

Sophie comes home today. She is on the plane. Life will be back to normal. Sure have missed her.

Need to tidy up just a bit.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Well, I got the back grass cut and the blades sharpened and it greased. Turned the wood pile AND the two compost piles. All the grass that was piled up under the deck went on one of the compost piles. Maybe tomorrow I will attack the tree stump I have been working at for two years. If I had a real back hoe it would be gone by now.
That is enough for today.

71F supposedly with fog @ 12:15. Calling for a high of 74F for the day with a slight chance of rain showers (15%) Got just shy of 0.25" in the last 24 hours.

Collected up the old shelf from the basement first thing yesterday and brought it around front. One end of it was delaminating so I untarped the radial arm saw and trimmed off about 3". Then stuck it up on the brackets I had put up previously.

After that I got the large shepard's hook and a Japanese beetle trap and took those and put them up in the front yard.

Once that was done I grabbed the smaller shepard's hook and another trap and took it around back and put it up over the leach bed.

That was all the lures I had so the other 2 will have to wait.

Picked out the one long board for the raised beds that had a split in the end and brought it into the garage and glued it up and got it clamped. That should be ready now so I'll pull the clamps today and see how it looks.

Made some calls to insurance about co-pays on some upcoming procedures I'm scheduled for. Got answers on 2 of them, forgot to ask about the 3rd one ... lol.

More organizing/clean up/vacuuming out in the garage after that.

Got new belt installed on belt sander.

Sanded down new handle for an old shovel head I picked up somewhere and got that installed. Still need to pin it, once I locate the new pins.

Refilled hopper feeder, also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

Located the large washer and then loaded up Uncle Blaine's Deluxe Repeating Sparrow Trap in the dump cart and took it up and got it deployed in the front yard by the one nest box I know they have been nesting in. Should have had that set out at least a month ago ... 🤬

No indications that any bluebirds have nested in any of the nest boxes at this point but I have heard their calls and songs over the last couple of weeks.

Got another 30 winter squash and pumpkin seeds planted in pots after that, clearing out another tote of potting mix. These were all varieties I have not planted already.

Woman brought home dinner from the Lebanese place, was very tasty.

After dinner I ran over to the Depot and picked up another 2 lures for the Japanese beetle traps, swung by the gas station on the way back and picked up another 4 gallons for the Cub.

Agenda for today:

Dole out meds for coming week.

Get next 2 Japanese beetle traps put out/hung.

Given that it's cool and overcast, probably a good day to get some more mulch placed in that northeast planting bed.

Maybe more cleaning in the garage.

Otherwise, see what else comes up.

Sorry I missed yesterday but Kathleen has me assembling this metal gazebo out on our deck. Been at it for 3 days so far and almost done. Instead of sending me one little triangular panel they sent me the entire crate of panels over 150 lbs 😳
Take it to a metal shop and see if they can make a copy, then you have 2 gazebo's..

Happy Flag Day and Happy 250th to the US Army.

Good breakfast this morning. Wife didn't go. Stopped by church building to take care of a few things, like putting the streaming computer on UPS power, making sure everything is working for tomorrow, etc.
Wife has all the windows and doors open. Snagglepuss snuck in, and is asleep on a chair.
Decided no deck work today. realized I need to remove 1 joist, because I need to put in the corner posts, and blocking, etc, then run the joist. so easy to remove parts with screws. I'm using structural screws for just about everything, but will bolt the ledgers to the posts.
getting close to buying the deck boards for it, an 8x8 even with the old deck, then 2 steps down to the 7x12 deck2 to the garage.

today is sure to be memorable for the US and not sure that's a good thing.
over 50 No Kings protests in Texas alone, more than 2000 countrywide.
It's like putting two magnets together, and sadly they oppose, not attract.
We need to come together

so today, big prayers for our country.

Pretty sure that targeted assassinations of state lawmakers ain't going to get us there.

rv unloaded, gas turned off, load of wash run and put away
now a little seat time and get caught up with trip pics
Homestead campground appears to have many year round residents.
building with all the radar on it is Delaware Bay Ship Reporting Station.
Basically marine traffic control for big ships entering the Delaware Bay off the Atlantic

the beach was more crowded than any I've seen, just packed in there
we sat on the bench above and marveled, by time we left there wasn't much sand showing

just rescreened an anderson screen with metal splines. Never tried to do a screen before. Youtube said you can't reuse the metal splines, another site showed how to save them. The long sides did curl on me, as I didn't have the recommended tool to remove them to prevent that. However, not to bad, and the screen is back in the window. Have several that needs done. clamping the screen to the table when reinstalling might have prevented the curl, will try that next time. This screen material has been on my shelf for years. Not sure if enough on the roll to do another one, these are pretty tall.
Wife left AC on with windows open... Just shut the downstairs ones, feels better already. Very humid again today.
Yesterday big storms popped up just south of us, we got nothing, but could hear all the thunder. Son drove home in downpours.
