Not much on the agenda, move some wood around, tend to the animals. Real job in the city calling so I need to figure that out. Or I should say, someone else needs to figure it out. LOL.

14 this morning. Probably won't get out of the 20s today. Maybe a flurry or two this evening.

Not much yesterday. Did get a couple of walks in yesterday but to cold for me. Probably another day of hibernation puttering around the garage.

Well, we got snow overnight. As near as I can tell, about 1/2" here. It still closed all the schools and businesses from here going east. I hear even Louisiana got a blizzard. I didn't get any pictures yet, but it covered the ground and the vehicles. I'm staying indoors.

Good Morning! 26˚F. We have ice outside. It started last night and our card club was shut down, before we finished our 5 games, and we were sent home early because of frozen rain. The ice pellets just bounced off the truck on the way home. I only crossed one creek and Ice was starting to accumulate on the bridge. It does not appear to be hanging on the tree limbs, will able to tell more after sunrise. Houston got several inches of snow and schools from here to Houston are shut down. pics later.
Gas, electric, water, and internet are all working.

Davis says it is 2.8°, Tempest says 3°. Either way it’s cold. Looks like continued clear with a high around 15 for today.

Yesterday was mostly in the shop, I reworked the drain on the plasma table. I had increased the size of the drain opening, and pressed a relief for bar sink drain basket to sit flush in. That worked well, but the material was a bit thin for the basket to tighten up properly. This time I made up a PVC spacer for the bottom and a wrench to hold the basket while I tightened it.
Here’s the basket wrench. Crude but effective.

Bounced between a few projects, cleaned out the fireplace and shoveled snow off the porches and patio. Finished the day with a Zoom oddfellows meeting.

Today starts with breakfast with the professor (and likely Drew). After that, I’m sure I’ll be in the shop, Zoe has a class at 3pm, then hopefully back to the shop. I sure hope I don’t get drafted to go out on any service calls, it’s a good day to stay inside. I’m really liking the radiant heat in the old folks home!
Amazingly the heat pump makes decent heat at these temperatures. I had to test it out of curiosity, I installed it primarily for AC and heat just in the transition seasons when we weren’t running the radiant, so it has no auxiliary or back up heating coils. It’s a Bryant Evolution system.
