trying to find name brand gas for under 5 bucks a gallon on 101 headed to Orcutt tomorrow. 4 hour drive, need fuel on last half of run. Or maybe RNG has a good station in town; the one I found a price for was 5.60 gulp
need a larger station, not mom and pop convenience
I put a can of sea foam in this last tank. Was feeling a tiny miss at idle, could be nothing but a little injector cleaner never hurt anything.
46k on V10 engine, lot of spark plugs and I"m sure not easy to get to ones in back.
that's a job for my favorite truck shop when I get back. This engine though primarily the V-8 from which it was stretched, has some early history of ejecting spark plugs and/or having to do major head repair
so while RNG is replacing the transfer switch, I'll be changing the oil. No room for two of us in that back bedroom anyway. Need a 2x4 prop rod or some prop rod better than the truck windshield scraper I was using to hold up bed so one can work down there.
I am quite sure RNG will solve that challenge easily
what else we got here to play with. New backup camera. wireless, solar, magnet mount. While oil is draining I'll see if I can find something it will stick to.
lastly, a new replacement interior thermostat; current one loses its brain on auto after it reaches its destination.
Looking forward to some kickback time with RNG so don't want to work him to death.
besides he has to cook dinner...and I'm asleep by 9, major party pooper.
I have some cosmetic stuff like that fiberglass and some water damaged interior wood. always something to fix...I also need to change out some interior water filters.
Now I"m sure Ted would like to squeeze his knee real hard down in that cabinet; I'd be calling the rescue squad to get him out... same for Don's shoulder...
the funny part to me about all this available talent was I was planning on my step brother in Salida CO doing all this, he is a master car mechanic/builder.
but he has a terrible bad back now so he's on the injured list.
