Some nice chunks of wood y'all! Popgadget, good that you are flipping that monolithe. If it splits, it could just be considered "character" and you could fill it with some of that cool 2 part epoxy to fill the cracks and then finish it??? Painting the ends makes my mind wonder if that just slows the drying process, and therefore helps prevent cracking by giving more time for the cells to adjust to the stress? Time will tell.
Drew, hope Rushmore is a sight to behold. Thanks for sharing your journey. Sorry about leaks. I think Ron may have offered the best advise for a pressure regulator. Hopefully it is something simple.
At work/school, they just came down on electric mobility devices. If they have over 750 watt motors, Not allowed on campus. We have a huge campus and a huge student population. Maybe the largest in the USA. This cancels out all the units that are similar to Drew's. Only the scooter type with small wheels typically have the smaller motors. We used to allow them into the building ONLY if they fold up. No more. They have to be locked to the bike racks and there are not enough bike racks. We were talking about bad drivers the other day, well, 18 year olds on scooters, riding on sidewalks nearly hitting pedestrians is the problem. Where there is a road, they have to use it and follow all the same rules as cars. They currently will go anywhere on the road including the other side to not have to stop for pedestrians on crosswalks. And students crossing crosswalks with their nose on their phone screen and headphones on, don't pay attention because they have the right of way....it is a bad recipe. I pray nobody gets hurt badly. I have to drive really slow, with my head on a swivel getting to and from my parking lot. White knuckle slow. It is better if you can time it when there is not a class change time.
RS, prayers for your wifey.
PJS, glad to see you posting more. Prayers for the step son. I'm hoping your job is working out good and is rewarding for you.
Still waiting for the grass to dry a little to mow.
