Good morning!!!!

back after lunch with friends, I picked up some Jersey Mikes hoagies,
turkey and american cheese for them (they eat the blandest food possible)
and a chicken cheese steak for me.
I like jersey mikes subs, especially the grilled chicken cheese steak. Haven’t had one since retiring.

Still trouble shooting the water softener. Venturi valve is clean. The overflow float was stuck. Running another cycle now.
Noticed my one set of geothermal pipes have been pushed into the house, must have been from ground settling outside. Not an easy fix. Should be above the bottom set.
They are sleeved thru the concrete wall. no easy fix. It's the first outgoing loop. I would have expected it to pull, not push in by settling, and it's been over 10 yrs now without doing this.

The pole building is now being roofed with an insulation layer under the metal sheets. They probably wanted to use more of our property but ended up using a little inside our fence without asking despite signs with no tress passing.

If you cut the vertical pipe above the bottom pipes elbow and add 2" or so to it, wouldn't that level both of the pipes?

picture is turned sideways, I went back and rotated the picture. that's outgoing header for my upstairs unit. I could shorten the red pipe, removing the amount it pushed in. That involves draining the loop (can shut the other one off), cutting and fuse a new pipe coupling and then refilling with glycol and water and purging. purging is easy because I can shut a loop off, which is why I did an inside header. I also put a union after the valve, that will make it easier also. Would have to do it between seasons when i don't need heat or AC upstairs. very limited window. Actually the hardest part is finding enough glycol to refill the pipe.

As i think about it, I won't have to lose that much water in the loop, as long as i can fuse a new end on the pipe, water can stay in the loop.

BEF, I think you've got it figured out.
Which glycol is it? Ethel or polypropylene?
Propylene
looking back at original pics, even the other pipe is pushed in some, and a couple on the other unit. The fuse joint was pushed back in the sleeve, now is 3-4" out in places. here is original pic.

Drew, all the stops I listed along I40 take very little time. Most you can get off one exit, drive thru town, get on the next exit. Even Winslow AZ is like that. The singing highway just east of Alb. is close to I40 also. I thought I had a video of it, but video is only a few seconds.

here's a short video on fusing HDPE pipe with my lovely wife holding the iron. to fuse new fitting on, need room for the cold clamp, so would have to shorten the sleeve conduit for that one.

my son in TN is doing the McKay road trip today, to get $800 in store credit. He's already hit Nashville and Chattanooga, and is in line in Knoxville. They changed the rules and are combining the last 2 NC stops, so has to get to Winston Salem NC to finish. He's with some of his friends. His girlfriend went to the far end in NC last night and is doing it in the reverse order, she had a 4 hr wait in line this morning...

he's now heading towards Winston Salem.. O to be young again..
