44° on weather app this morning, but in 70s now.
Spent half a day at the lot. Mowed 2.5 weeks ago and it needs it bad, grass really tall.
Got drive way staked out, then cabin location.

If you look hard you can see the tapes outlining it. Lot slopes away to right, and also to the top right, right corner 3 ft lower than left corner. Further I go towards top of picture, the more I’ll have to dig. Or put in basement with walkout. About 81 ft from left property line.

View attachment 873029Camping cabins across from me are 24’4” x 20’4”. Minus 8x12 porch. They have 1/2 bath.
They want $165 night with 2 night minimum, and they have no shower.
What’s it look like inside?

My first single family home purchase was 15x30 and later expanded to 15x40.

Haven’t seen inside, can see a twin bed in window from porch. Supposed to have 2 queen beds, and small kitchenette, half bath in little front section based on vent pipe.
I don’t understand 4” over standard size, but my measurements included siding thickness. I assume 20x24 is framed size. They are on foundation, crawl space under. 2 steps up from concrete porch, so probably 2x8 floor joists, only 10 ft span if center beam. Looks like scissor truss based on porch end.

rv article on traveling through Central Texas, rolling hills of bluebonnets sure are pretty
only the locals will know how sensible the article is

But I'll be coming through Texas the second week in October.
I'm wondering if any festivals then. A rodeo. Never been to a rodeo.
really don't need to pat a cow...nor do I need a Stetson.

but I would like to see a dance hall with folks doing line dances.
I'll put headphones on if I have to, am tired of missing out. Won't stay long anyway.
I just want to watch for sure.

if there is some geographical spot you think I should stop for to take pictures of
in your respective areas, I'm happy to veer off the main route.
I would love to have an overlay on my route of all the car museums.
All the zoos, museums and large aquariums.
have already swum with the dolphins in BVI's so am happy to keep fish
on other side of the glass.
And I don't fish.
but love boats. Not sure how my wonky ear will deal with that.

I should have a bumper sticker

I BRAKE FOR TRACTORS

time is sure flying. August 27 is not far away.

Good Evening,
Vt, got most of the mowing of the field done ! Maybe 2 acres to go ! Got a boat ride in on the pontoon boat ! Beautiful day really !

Our friends got here about 5 for Happy Hour David ! 😉
Kathleen put a nice grilled chicken salad toy with rice , arugula, red onion and some cheese ! I grilled the chicken out by the barn, while everyone had a gin and tonic! Very nice evening!
test. After about an hour it started stalling. This time I had the forethought to record on video
David, sorry to hear that ! Hopefully some resolution in the near future ! 🙏

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 1.4C and it's presently 13.2C, clear with a steady breeze. There was 3.0mm in the gauge @ 0900.

The Bureau Of Manyguesses got the high winds prediction correct but blew it for the off'n'on rain. I had to put my procrastination on hold as I needed to drop off a 'sample' to the pathology collection section of our Medical Centre.

That's about it, take care all.

Good evening all. 64ºF for the start, overcast, light breeze. Light wind overcast cleared to partly cloudy and high temp was 83ºF. Made coffee to start day, some putter than bike rid, then took weed eater for walk. After lunch got nap in, then dinner and got new decals on boat. USPS and I disagree on what my password is.

Nike glad you are getting some dry days. Hope mowing of pastures went well.
Don nice temp for end of May. Glad floor does not need sanding, that should go quick. Yes move to smaller house big pain :( Enjoy the rain.
Ken glad fawns back today. Took me a minute to realize that was a radish in the 1st pic. Did fawns try to include dog?
Newbury it was hard enough moving 600 miles to smaller home, 900 miles between homes sounds like nightmare. Sorry about the tool situation.
Paul congrats on upcoming 50th. Enjoy your new auger.
Bill glad you got mowing done yesterday. Hope dump/town run went well.
RNG Glad trip was easy. Sorry about the roadblocks on the engine being shipped. Sorry the backing of the trailer was a pain. Hope unpacking goes well.

Mike what do you cut the pastures with? I hope you can reduce your work load.
Drew hope you can take pics of his shop and share with us. Sounds like quit the builder.
Ted glad no high wind, sorry about no rain. Hope you are getting caught up. some day you just have to work on those little projects like putting decals on the boat.
David does having the tank near empty make a difference. Sorry the stalling had returned.
Drew unless you are gaming or editing video computer speed is not a big issue. Number of cores matters when OS will take advantage of them, last I heard not strong point of Windows.
Drew hope new battery fixes your problem.
Ultrarunner I found the neater I wound the line, the fewer issues I had the line fusing.
Drew sorry new doc disappointing. Hope pizza was good.
Dennis hope you had fun staking driveway and cabin out.
Dennis $165 a night and no shower?
Drew my boat is quite, and lake is small, idling around won't take long and motor is quiet. No fishing required ;)
