Realistically, this way, the project would move forward with or without me, and I would have a good handle on timing and cost.
You may not be on the fast track but sounds like you are on the Right Track!

Inside project completed! Fans are working great! Super quiet, which was the result we were after.

These fans are used as a "room to room" transfer fans. They create a nice circulation of the pellet stove heat. Without them, the back of the house gets much cooler.

The first set were 110v AC, but only small 120mm. These are twice the air movement, 200mm diameter, 12v DC. The AC ones were about 5 years old and were starting to make a high pitched whine. Started to get annoying when it was quiet in the house.

Hopefully, these will last a long time. They are rated at 60K hours.
I should try something like that to pull heat from my pellet stove.

Spent the afternoon in the garden.
Litte EGO tiller attachment to my edger fluffed up the raised bed nicely. Added some manure and coffee grounds before tilling.
The green house crew has been busy.

Coffee is brewing. 18° with some fog this morning. Heading to 43° with sunny skies in afternoon. Did not get to limbs leftover from previous storms. Did get weight box not tractor and filled with rocks. Helped neighbor move more wood to his burn pile. Not sure what I will get done today. Always limbs to move.

good morning all
drier weather has arrived, cooler nights and warmer sunny days. (y) (y)

lots to do today but have to wake up first.
Popgadget, with your flying I think having a GC makes sense. Particularly if he has any skills or connections you don't.
You will set the standards no matter what.
great use for my/your favorite Makita blower. I used the larger one to start burn piles on the farm.
that little blower is just so perfect for cleaning out engine compartments, all the bugs that get under your generator, etc.

Don, wonderful pics of veggies, sure looks nice. I'm envious of your longer grow season but shows how important greenhouses
or cold frames are. That's a lot of basil. There will be good red sauce in Texas soon!
these little plants are now 3 to 6 bucks a piece around here, assuming you enjoy the process, growing your own
saves a lot of money once the initial expense is over.

I'm still vacillating on where to put my greenhouse. I watched the sun yesterday carefully and the place near the garage I wanted
was till in shade at 12:30pm. No. Even with sun changing positions during summer, I want more morning light. That means out in the open
so yesterday I was moving bird feeders to see how it will work. The floor to begin with will be lawn, not sure about that; remember in NC I covered the floor with porous plastic grating and that worked great for spills. But I don't want this spot permanent because my hopes are next year to have a real
greenhouse built at a different location. I can go up to 100sf without a permit and I intend to max that out.
power/flowers to the people....

Ken and a young friend are coming over around lunchtime today to help me build this thing. It may take ten minutes, doesn't look complicated but instructions clearly said to have two helpers. Interesting. If that goes quickly, maybe we can work on the rv engine cover. At least it will be sunny
and nice out.

have a nice Sunday everyone.
