Drew, my greenhouse is still a work not in progress. Slowly creeping up my todo list. It has produced 2 volunteer tomatoes, one very prolific, the other, not so much.

We got them also here.
When we come across them well into ditch they will tell you had in 4WD,my reply 4WD only send you further off the road in these conditions and good chance won't help you get out.

Reminds me of just before I retired from Army in Falls Church, Va. had one of those storms when government declares partial shutdown, liberal leave rules. Called my boss to tell him I wasn’t coming in. He replied, “but you have 4 wheel drive” had to remind him it wasn’t my driving I was concerned about.

-16F this morning, less wind though. Dog didn't stay out long. I don't know the term for this sunrise, but there is an extra light shaft poking up. More pronounced than the pic shows. Cool looking.

Shenandoah NP has no parking fees, but a steep entrance fee, especially for a young working family wanting to take their kids to the outdoors. Just this week, SNP instituted a new fee...limited to backpackers...used to be free to backcountry camp, now a $15 pass must be bought online for your trip...applies to AT thru-hikers, too.

that sucks, as does the SMNP parking fee. people need to complain loud to the NPS, not that it will do any good.

I have a glycol refractometer, guess I should use it, but probably won't.

Very windy again today.

Good worship this morning, with a Baptism. My son was song leader so I did the streaming. Had a snow squall come up during service, snowed heavy for awhile, but after service it was all done, and after lunch, the sun was out and the roads dry already.
One cat asleep on the pellet stove, one in her bed in the basement, and snagglepuss came in and sleeping on my office chair.
supposed to snow monday night into tuesday, and thursday night into friday.

That is our little (3x4 m) greenhouse. I was putting it together alone, so I used tractor as "third hand".
Pay attention on forks position. Turn them around to get another 1/2 meter height

GH is not so much practical necessity but like playground for kids. They are so exited for their own peas and radishes

And as you probably know - you have either good garden either dog. As we have dog ...
At least GH is place where he is banned

Good Afternoon Guys,
Got the dump run in at 10am, and then picked up some Duracell AA along with Zicam over the border in Ny ! Kathleen is not feeling great and neither am I for that matter!

I did get the other two end pieces rough shaped in on the first rocker seat ! After that I just cleaned up the shop and called it a day ! I would have liked to glue up the seat, but I’m not 100% sure the glue in my shop is good ! And I have too much work in this to use inferior glue ! Planning on taking the front legs back to Ct to turn the tapers when and if we get some warm weather, which right now doesnt look to promising!

Phil, beautiful job on your last two turnings ! The grain looks great with the color !

-4°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 6° today. Cold walk out to the chicken coop this morning. Even with the insulated Carhartt gloves, my fingers were very cold when I got back to the house. The wind was actually hurting my face.

We got nothing of the 3-6" of snow that the scaremongers were predicting all week. Blizzard conditions? Probably needed some snow for that, too. We've gotten a light dusting over the last two days total. Not even enough to cover anything. (sigh)

Looks like we'll remain below freezing for most of the next week or so, but we seem to be past the negative numbers nights now. Monday of next week we'll be back up in the 40s again ... more normal temps.
