Cool tractor Gary

Got grass mowed and some weed eating done, liked to whipped me. Z-Turn took 9.5 gallons of gas getting close to empty but still made it. On the way home filled it up plus 10 gallons for work this week. Yard has lots of summer weeds butt it's still green.

Another busy week, Farmer I've never added up my hours per week probably afraid to but would 80 to 90 hours I'd guess. If I was getting paid by the hour I'd be rich.

Wife worked on trimming shrubs at home while I was off mowing at my parents old place. She made great progress if I do say so myself.

Boat search has slowed to a crawl but might be something interesting in Florida nice 24 footer with cabin, 300hp outboard, set up for offshore fishing and more in my price range. Drew was right Grady's are expensive

Work week setting up to be busy but nothing big until mid July when we come back off vacation. Bet I stay out of the ocean

Got another dousing of rain. Grass just keeps on growing.

I was lugging our 65 pto hp tractor with a 6' shredder. Had to slow down to normal walking speed in a few places. I practically scalp it.

Seriously, if the Loctite doesn't work, could you fashion a steel tab to fit under the end of the bolt with a tab to bend against the hex and the other end folded down over an edge to prevent rotation? Failing that, you could drill a small hole through one of the points on the hex and safety wire it. Then you'd have a racing tractor, so better hold on tight!

Thanks for the suggestions, I had not thought about doing it that way.

Woke up this morning to the sound of swallows chattering away outside.

A few minutes later the radio came on and the bird talk was replaced by a chattering broadcaster. I much prefer to hear the swallows, although at least the radio broadcaster isn't crapping on our patio furniture while he's talking.

49F & partly cloudy. Low 70's today and dry.

Most area weather stations reported 1.5 - 1.8 inches of rain yesterday. I'm glad we got a decent soaking finally.

Ayup it looks like a nice day. To bad it's a work day and not a tractoring day. Checked out the food plot yesterday. The oats are about a foot tall and the clovers are coming in in some places and some places not as well as some of the turnips etc. There are incriminating hoof prints in it already:D

Coffee has been poured. 55° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 74° with thunderstorms in the afternoon. Not much planned for today. Need to take mower off tractor and FEL back on so I can do some rock moving around garden pond.
bakerg, like the video. Now you need some sheet metal.
Good Morning All

nice weather here too, 63 out, high in upper 80's.
probably going to do some tree watering and then might make a run over to the rental place and see if they
have a small ditch machine or large edger that can lay water pipe. Need to see what my options are.

enjoy the day

53 with 85 planned and sunny. More drying time today. Yesterday's winds helped.

Mostly lopped and pruned yesterday since the ground was too wet to drive mower or tractor. Got a lot done, and moved some rocks to outline a flower border.

Took Coco for a hike behind the house in the woods yesterday - on the way out, we crossed over our bridge over the little creek down the hill - it had been under muddy water about a foot deep during the last big down pour...yesterday the water was back down below the bridge and clear. After a short walk in our woods, we came back to the bridge and the water was about 3 inches over it and muddy again. I can only figure that either a natural dam had formed from tree debris and busted, or the property owner upstream with a pond had busted out a debris pile on his overflow.

Woke up with a kink in my neck, so am looking at the computer screen kinda cocked to the right and down...hope my typing isn't crooked :).

Gary, nice job on your JD replica.

Drew, good news on your car/bush hog sale.

Buppies and Farmer, I admire your hard work.

vt, the deer have found my plots, too.

Good Morning All

Have the sheet metal roughed in just have to make some mods so it will fit the tractor. This has been a project going back to 2012, haven't worked on it much in the last year and a half.
