Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

63.5F going to upper 70s, allegedly no rain today. Yesterday it rained all afternoon and never got out of the 60s, which was refreshing, but we couldn’t empty the vehicle of all of Mrs. doll haul. So that is this morning’s project before we have to drive Harry to weekend boarding.

Yhat will pretty much fill up the day for us.

Best wishes on your birthday Kyle. Looks like you are living pretty high. Yummm.

It rained overnight. Depending on who you listen to we are still in deficit for the year. The soy beans at the farm have shot out on the ground and are about 6 inches high. I have had to be careful mowing next to the field. It is sometimes hard to see where the crop begins. I got all the mowing done at the farm yesterday. It was mostly dry by the time I quit. I also don't like to mow wet grass.

Don asked about the map that showed building permit trends. I never could find it again. The internet is like a river. Sometimes I wonder if I imagined stuff. I did see that there is a big trend of people moving far south which seems a little counter intuitive this summer.

67 outside this AM, heading to 90. Storm moved through earlier this AM. Nice rumble of thunder, one long loud clap. Hard rain on the tin roofs. Nice sound.

Not sure what I will get into today. Still have tools to move around. Should finish that job up. No word back on the plumber for the Milk House. Probably scared him off. Wife says I should just start tearing up everything in there to get it more of a manageable job for the plumber. I am like not equipped to cut and break out concrete. Sigh.

cloudy wet morning, half an inch of rain last night, woke up to rain on roof sound, turned over and went back to sleep.
that felt good

more rain today
glad I mowed after dinner last night, was nice it was cooler

am continuing my research on e bikes. Big tradeoff between weight and power.
I really don't want to lift more than 50 pounds and most of the nicer e bikes weigh closer to 70 pounds.
I found a nice ebike carrier for rear hitch, now what to put in it.

will decide soon if I want to get really muddy and tear out all the strawberry plants this morning since they are doing absolutely nothing.

Prayers, Buppies.

We went to visit my mom yesterday. Nice trip, but busy roads since it is vacation season at the beach. Had great seafood and conversation. Got to see lots of fighter jets doing touch and goes at Oceana NAS, and some others flying over at Langley AFB. Loud but beautiful.

Got home about 10pm, turned on the porch lights to unload a few things and quickly the buzz from the hornets was really loud...they are attracted to light, and unlike most wasps/bees/yellow jackets, they are quite active at night. We ran for the door. I'm gonna have to get serious. I ordered a different type of spray that I hope will work better.

So many choices on e bikes. Battery and motor size is important to match your ride preferences. You can go smaller since you likely is not doing much uphill or distance riding and then there is getting the right riding position for comfort.
