I had one person that boarded horses across the road from me, that was wheelbarrowing their manure across the road and dumping it on my side, along the creek. I went down and stood where they could see me, and they stopped and never did it again. I didn’t say a word.
I make it a point to not even mow my grass towards my neighbor, except along his pasture, the cows love the fresh cut grass.

Well I am sort of done for today. Those stings I got this AM are kind of swollen, and it's too hot outside.

I have a house full of endoskeleton Terminator types. Attitudes and weapons upgrades were standard issue.

Well seeing those x-rays opened up a floodgate of memories for me ! Something I usually dont talk about because of everything I went through when I was younger !

In 1966 getting ready to go into high school I was diagnosed with scoliosis ! To this day some of those memories haunt me. I went through an extensive surgical procedure at the time, hours of surgery where my back was opened up and then had a Harrington Rod installed onto my spine. I so distinctly remember the intense pain for many days. Your daughter and your family have gone through so much at this point, that only others that have endured the same can truly relate!

I was determined that I was going to make it through this nightmare and this was not going to be a defining moment in my life that I was not going to recover fully from ! There were many people that told me that I was not going to be able to this or that, and I was determined to prove them dead wrong ! Well as I am closing in on 72 I can tell you that I led a full and productive life ! My wife Kathleen and I raised two boys, put them through college, they are now both married and we now have 4 beautiful grand children !

Just a little about me, I have always been an outdoor person, and while I served an apprenticeship and ultimately became a Master Modelmaker, and made a very good living from it, my heart was always outside ! To this day, I love being out on the back side of my barn splitting wood on a nice fall day ! To this day I still love physical work, and even though I have back pain, I deal with it the best I can. I refuse to sit inside and look out the window !

Looking at those x-rays, makes me wish that I had the medical know how of today back in 1966 !

I do have some misgivings, in that I could not go into the Navy as my father before me had,he served in WW2, and I of course wanted to be like my Pop ! That was of course the Vietnam Era, and Im guessing my mother was relieved when I was rejected at the Induction Center.

I wish your daughter my prayers and encouragement, and that she will persevere , and have a full and productive life !

Good (Friday) morning. Another balmy overnight Low of 12.6C and it's presently 15.5C, high-overcast with wind.

Yesterday's trip to PO for wine cases delivery turned out to be only one... and, sure enough, I received notification this A.M. that the other case was ready for collection. <sigh>

I was able to chain-harrow Paddock #1 (and #6 again). The high winds that have been happening of late has dried out the manure in Paddock #6 and I was tempted to Z-turn mulch, however with the strong winds it only would've blown away + all over me. Mind you, I'd like to run the Z-turn as it's been a couple of months since last used.

Last evenings meeting went for a couple of hours. Good, robust discussions. Home by 2200.

Not much on for today... that's about it, take care all.

The free TV is gone. We are pleased to think the young man was genuinely appreciative. Has 3 young children and their TV broke 2 weeks ago. Sure seemed heavier than when we put it up in 2008.

Following advise of others decided to heed the calling to take rest of day off. Enjoyed relaxing in the hot tube.

Special thoughts and prayers to the caregivers out there. Bless you. I feel I was especially blessed in knowing we were progressing toward improvement. I’m sure that’s much less traumatic than the alternative. Funny how the mind works, almost 25 years later I’d be hard pressed to list in detail what a day involved.

Just found out someone I know from Ohio passed away yesterday in some kind of accident. Don’t know details.
AC is about 3° behind set point upstairs. I do know filters need changed.

Supposed to see northern lights tonight, but cloudy now with storms to our south.

Good evening all. 81ºF for the start, overcast with some raindrops, light breeze. Moderate wind with some brisk gusts, sky became partly cloudy. and high temp was 100ºF, HI 115ºF. putter to start day, bike ride, then nap. Watch tor replay this afternoon, then grilled brats. Fire gets hotter when temp 100ºF .

Poured first cup of coffee. 55° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with thunderstorms. Grocery shopping went good. Had plans to do all sorts of things. But ended up doing nothing. Ready to get something done today. Grass needs to be mowed. More work to do on chicken coop roof.

All clothes packed when I got home then wanted to go out to eat and said I ordered stuff she did not want to eat. Just another day

Sorry to fear this. Prayers for you and wife. My mother had this type of Dementia. Same with my 2 aunts that recently passed.
Every time this happen they were tested for UTI. Which showed up positive. Treatment put things back to normal. The elderly patient cannot tell they have a UTI.

Amazon deliveries came yesterday, but not some new buddies for a little dog in Michigan. Hopefully today, but they say
not yet shipped, sounds like they lost it...

going out for a beer with my brother this afternoon, see what's new with him
I might mow the lawn this morning, only because wet weather ahead.

UTI made my MIL have dementia symptoms, cleared up in three days.
