Should all work on the principle of pulling up the striker mechanism against a spring or compressed gas and then triggering it to strike. A motor seems to be present so maybe a high torque small rotation type to lift up the striker or?I would say that it’s nothing like the Milwaukee. The Milwaukee motor is perpendicular to the driver.
I'd still put staples at the top & bottom, plus one or two evenly spaced between. The wire will stretch over time, even due to environmental factors and begin to 'bow'.We started and terminated with wrapping the wire around the post rather than staples though.
