Drew right now our biggest problem is making sure we get the trusses all up and plywood on before for the snows come. Looks like we will have on and off rain today and lots of rain tomorrow.
Then it is going to go cold on us for the weekend. Pushing the limit on building in New England, but we are closer to closing it in. The building is 22 x 42 so it will be a pretty good size shop.
Roy it is always fun doing stuff in the late fall early winter around here. Everyone but me seems to be up for working in the cold, so let the games begin.

Good morning! 59˚ with a strong cold north wind blowing. They missed the timing of the front blowing in by 4 hours. Ron will have to break camp in a bit colder weather than he had set up in but he will at least have the wind pushing him further South today. The news is saying this is the coldest weather system since the 1990's.

Mike, Ron and I played with Mikes and Mike's neighbors grapples yesterday (79˚ during the afternoon) to see if the difference in the style of grapple made a big difference. I'v posted a thread in Attachments. We determined both grapples have their strong points but it depends on the main use which grapple is best. I do have a better idea on what to expect from a grapple thanks to Mike.

Up early again this morning, guess I have to find a way to stay up past 8 PM!
28 degrees and cloudy calling for rain mid day. Will be putting up more trusses today so can only hope it holds off.

Nice looking building and a lot of hard work I'm sure. The cold weather will be upon you soon , hopefully you get done in time

Well Buppies I've got both, and you are welcome to drive on up and you can pull trees and logs out of the woods to your heart's content. Of course you have to split everything you pull out...
This farm I'm working on hasn't had its woods culled in decades.
I look at those downed trees and all I see is a nice row of firewood.
And you can never have too much.

I sure hope this is some of OUR coldest wx this winter. @ 6:40am its 5 degrees and still heading down. No snow for us in the foreseeable future.
